Get the Look: Angelina’s Luxe Accessories

INF

We love the simplicity of Angelina Jolie’s style — from her pencil skirts to her trench coats, she is the epitome of quiet elegance. So when she stepped out today with her family in Manhattan, our eyes went right to her stylish accessories (Sorry, Zahara!). We’ve spotted her Valentino braided leather shoulder bag on stars like Claire Danes and Jennifer Garner before, but we still love it. And forget trendy white or red sunglasses — Angelina opts for classic oversized Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses to cover her famous eyes. The ultimate accessory is, of course, her beautiful family — Brad Pitt is just out of the frame on Angelina’s left!

Get Angelina’s purse for $1695 at bergdorfgoodman.com, or get the look for less with this Mae & J bag, $55 at fashionflairs.com. Love her sunglasses? Get her Dolce & Gabbana shades for $214 at unitedshades.com, or get the look for less with these “Twiggy” glasses, $13 at 80spurple.com.

Maria Sharapova Gets Glam for the US Open

Johnny Nunez/WireImage

You won’t catch this gorgeous tennis champ defending her title in any old polo shirt and pleated skirt. For this year’s US Open, Maria Sharapova teamed up with Nike to design three unique and custom-made dresses inspired by her favorite city, New York. The tennis pro unveiled her favorite atomic red shift that includes 600 authentic Swarovski crystals arranged in the inverted skyline of Manhattan around her neckline with the Top of the Rock’s panaromic Manhattan skyline views behind her. Ever the on-court fashionista, she’ll also be sporting a little black dress with a sexy scoop back for evening matches and a simple white dress for day games. The athlete couldn’t be more thrilled about her designs, saying “Nike has always understood my desire to make a big impression in New York, [and] this year is especially exciting because the designs are inspired by the city itself!”

Beauty Trend Alert: Grown-Up Braids

Andrew Shawaf/Pacific coast news; Jill Johnson/jpi

No longer confined to playgrounds or dorm rooms, the newest interpretations of the classic style are sophisticated and chic. For a super easy nighttime look, Los Angeles celeb stylist Byron Williams recommends making two side braids, then wrapping them around each other to create a messy bun (or try wrapping them around your head like Mary-Kate Olsen). Even easier is just tossing in a french braid to the hairline, like Jessica Simpson — perfect for unruly bangs. Whatever style you choose, it’s important to add texture first so that the hair has enough grip to hold the braid. Apply a texturizing product like, Pantene Pro-V Texturize! Defining Pomade, Texture & Shine, $5 at drugstore.com to dry hair. After you’ve finished the braid, spritz your whole head with touchable firm hold hairspray, like Byron Power Hold Hair Spray, $25 at bybyron.com, to keep hair in place.

Should J. Lo Hem Her Pants?

Anthony Dixon/WENN

Jennifer Lopez has always been a fashion risk-taker, but this time, we’re actually worried about her physical well being! We spotted Jennifer on her way to cast dancers in N.Y.C. in a not only an adorable vest and a drool-worthy crocodile purse, but also pants that totally cover her feet! We know that Jennifer can balance in stiletto heels on ice, but can she really walk in those slacks without tripping and falling? We don’t think we could manage that feat at all, but we want to know if you could! Tell us: Would you wear pants as long as Jennifer? Do you think she should shorten hers?
