This Fall It's All About Leather Jackets!

The September issue of StyleWatch reveals how to achieve this fall’s fierce-but-ladylike look with the “in” piece of the season — a short leather jacket! It’s the perfect way of mixing uptown chic with downtown edge. Claire Danes is spot-on with her unlikely combo — a Prada chocolate bomber adds just the right dose of tough-girl attitude to her sweet dress and feminine heels. Want an easy way to add a twist — and a touch of rugged toughness — to a white tee and jeans? Try a cropped version like Katherine McPhee’s YaYa Aflalo jacket. Try a few of our favorites:

Luxe leather jacket, $90 at

Banana Republic trenchlet, $328 at

Gap Product Red white leather jacket, $150 at

Also check out Wilsons Leather at — it’s a place to find a variety of great, affordable options!

When was leather out of style?? Isn’t fall usually all about leather jackets? That’s what I’m usually wearing (as long as it’s not raining) as we transition into winter.

I have always had a leather jacket for Fall. Its really cute and its brown!

Fall is my favorite fashion season. Jackets, coats, scarves, and hats make my closet bust at the seams. Now I can add a leather jacket to the checklist. Cha-ching!!!

I love leather jackets. They flatter nearly every body type, and you can wear them with anything!

I can’t wait for FALL…..

Leather jackets are total classics, they flatter almost every body type, AND are an awesome update to any look- what’s not to love about them?

Leather is just wrong period. Someone skinned a bunch of cows so you can wear it as a coat. Disgusting. But if someone skinned your pet, then you’d have a problem, right?

There are plenty of cute faux leather options out there for animal lovers. I bought a brown, cropped motorcycle jacket from Target last year that looks exactly like Claire’s in that pic for $40. It is fake, but looks real. Cute and animal friendly!!

I think that this look is something almost anyone can pull off. I think that a teenager could wear it, but a hip mom could too.
