Beyonce’s Sparkling Spokesmodel Turn

Courtesy Giorgio Armani Parfums

Is Beyonce the queen of diamonds? Giorgio Armani certainly seems to think so. Dazzled by her stage performance last year, the designer personally requested the singer to be the face of his new fragrance Emporio Diamonds. “I absolutely love everything about it,” she tells PEOPLE of the scent. “There hasn’t been one day that I haven’t gotten compliments on the fragrance. I wear it when I perform, when I’m going out and when I meet my fans. Even my guys that help me backstage are like,’ I need to get that for my wife!’ It’s really intoxicating.” And definitely not the only diamonds this diva is in love with. “My favorite diamonds right now are my Lorraine Schwartz monkeys. She has this new line of monkeys–Hear no evil, See no evil, Speak no evil. It makes me try to think and see things positively.” What a gem! Emporio Diamonds is available at Macy’s stores in September.

We Tested Your Favorite Mascara!

maybelline and dior

When we asked you what your favorite mascara was, five kinds seemed to top them all. DiorShow and Maybelline Great Lash ranked as the two most popular, followed by L’Oreal’s Voluminous, Lancome’s Definicils and Benefit’s BADgal lash. Here’s what we thought about your picks:

DiorShow is perfect for lengthening short lashes and giving otherwise stumpy lashes a feathery look, but longer lashes tended to get a spider effect and look a little unnatural. Buy DiorShow, $23, eluxury.com

Maybelline Great Lash goes on very think and easily runs. With small lashes it opened up the eye and added lots of volume, but was too heavy for long thick lashes. Buy Great Lash, on sale $4, drugstore.com

L’Oreal’s Voluminous is a great every day mascara. It doesn’t smudge, defines individual lashes and is very light. Buy L’Oreal’s Voluminous, $8, cvs.com

Lancome’s Definicils worked best on long and full lashes because it is light and seperates best. Short thin lashes required a lot of liquid to get any definition. Buy Lancome’s Definicils, $23, macys.com

BADgal lash was great for a dramatic effect making eyelashes darker and more defined. The less used, the better since it did tend to clump. Buy BADgal lash, $19, sephora.com

What Do You Think Of Mena Suvari’s Buzz Cut?

Photo: London Entertainment/Splash News

Woah! When Mena Suvari stepped out to lunch in Beverly Hills last week, we did a full double-take! The actress had buzzed her blond locks for the lead role in the film Garden of Eden, coming out in 2008. Mena certainly isn’t the first to get a crew cut for a part –Demi Moore and Natalie Portman also said good-bye to their hair for their art. Like these two beautiful ladies before her, we think Mena can totally pull off the boyish ‘do and still look feminine. Tell us: What do you think of her buzz cut? Do you like her with long blonde hair better?
