The Scoop on Anne Hathaway’s Premiere ‘Do!

Gina James/Graylock/ Retna

Anne Hathaway’s hair usually looks gorgeous — shiny and healthy. But we were particularly taken with her loose curls at the N.Y.C. premiere of her new movie Becoming Jane, so we turned to her hairstylist Ted Gibson for the inside scoop. Ted tells us that he “used Build It blow drying agent ($28 at beauty.com) at the root and scalp and Fix It gel ($28 at beauty.com) all over the head on wet hair.” After blowdrying her hair with the Ted Gibson Professional Hairdryer ($275 at beauty.com), he “pinned each section until they all cooled, which added some volume. After I removed the pins, I used a large barrel curling iron to create very soft, sexy, bouncy curls. I finished with Tame It shine lotion ($31 at beauty.com) to add shine and texture and Beautiful Hold Hairspray ($32 at beauty.com) for light hold and to calm fly-aways.” Picture-perfect!

Debra Messing Supports Project Runway Designers!

inf

When we spotted Debra Messing shopping in New York in one of Kara Janx’s signature wrap dresses, we loved that she was supporting one of our favorite Project Runway alums. Then we remembered that the redhead had actually been one of the judges on the finale of Season Two, so it made sense that she would have a soft spot for the show. Turns out she was actually supporting two of the designers from the show — she picked up Kara’s dress at EMc2, fellow Season Two-er Emmett McCarthy’s Manhattan boutique! Debra even confided in Emmett that she’d love to go back on the show if she was asked. Just one more reason to look forward to the next season! Get Debra’s Kara Janx dress for yourself at karajanx.com, $210.

Wilmer Valderrama Turns Designer!

Rossa Cole/Splash News online

Add Wilmer Valderrama to the list of celeb designers — the heartthrob has just launched a casual menswear line called Calavena for stylish guys looking to find trendy, fashionable pieces. “I’m excited to use this platform to express my creativity,” says the first-time fashion designer. “There aren’t enough things that men can wear as an everyday piece and be proud of and think this is something that we invested our money in and look good in.” Calavena features premium denim, embroidered hoodies, super-soft thermals and distressed tees. “I wanted a clean look and sophisticated cuts fit that men would feel comfortable in.” Hopefully, his female fans won’t be left out for long. “I have a 19-year old sister and a 26-year old sister who are a little upset with me because I haven’t thought about the women’s line,” he admits. “I want to do very sexy, sensual cuts that highlight the best features of a woman”s beautiful body. That’s on the drawing board.” For now, get items for your guy like this Guadalupe T-shirt, $78 at shopkitson.com.
