Bravo to Kevin Bacon… this magazine should focus more on actors that have something to give back to the community rather than focusing on other stars (Lindsey Lohan) who are moving train wrecks! I think this is great he’s great! Thanks People for doing a section on a positive person in Hollywood!

The whole “6 degrees of Kevin Bacon” started in the early 90s on college campuses. Kevin Bacon was apparently chosen because he’s made a lot of films (although there are actors with even more films), which makes him a good starting point to link to other actors/actresses.
