Kristen– I have 3 pairs of Steve Maddens. They are all ah-dorable, and they fit comfortably, for high heels. They are also sturdy, well-made shoes worht buying. However, you should watch out for the sizes, because it depends on the shoe.

As for Hayden, she’s beautiful, young, successful, a healthy weight, a good sense in shoes whether they are affordable or not, and has an ah-mazing outfit on in the picture!

Complaining just makes you sound silly, because it’s obvious that you didn’t THINK about how something that is expensive for some might not be for others. In this case, people.com called Steve Madden shoes affordable because they cost a LOT less than your typical celebrity wear (shoes that cost $500+). Did any of you actually consider this? Affordability is a relative term. Obviously, a single mother on welfare is probably not going to be able to buy a pair, but the average employed American woman would be able to. And for your average celebrity, the shoes would be mere pennies.

Further more, Steve Madden shoes don’t normally cost $150 (unless they’re boots, which makes sense). In fact, I just saw a pair on sale at Nordstrom for less than $40.

I am not rich. I have a steady job and I take care of my finances well. I also happen spend a lot of money on shoes that fit well and look good because they go on my feet, feet that I have walk on everyday. I don’t consider this wasting money, because I value shoes more than other stuff in my wardrobe, like jeans (all of my pairs are less than $25).

So before you complain again, you need to consider that your spending habits might not necessarily represent those of the average person reading this blog.

p.s. Kristen, I wish I could answer your question, but I’ve only had experience with only one pair of Steve Maddens that were unfortunately not well-made and really chafed my feet :(
