You Asked, We Found: Jennifer Garner's Red Tote

07/10/2007 at 06:00 AM ET

London Entertainment/Splash News Online

I love Jen Garner’s red bag in the photo from July 9th Star Tracks! WHERE can I find one?? – Danielle

Jennifer Garner has certainly left her casual Hawaiian vacation wardrobe behind as she heads to a business meeting in L.A., but just as we loved her beach-dresses, we love her street style too. And what could be chicer than her candy-red Valentino “Histoire” tote bag? If you’ve got $1795 to spare, you can nab your own patent purse at bergdorfgoodman.com or you can try this much more affordable “Fayston” satchel, $100 at ninewest.com.

I just love her laid back style. She doesn’t adhere to the “hollywood” look everytime she leaves the house. A girl who lives her life the way I am sure those other “girls” wish they would live & dress but just do not have the confidence.

it’a a nice purse but i’m not in to big purses maybe because i wear lite makeup and don’t like anything to heavy. i’m always on the go and need a lite purse to keep up with myself. i also agree with james and no wonder Ben feel in love with Jen, she is just the greatest!!

I don’t care how much money I had…I would NEVER spend almost $2000.00 on a purse!! STUPID!

Laid back style does not cost 1795.00 Yes her and ben are just an average couple. Come on give us a break.

Jennifer Garner is so cute. She’s just like the girl next door. She’s someone that I think seems down to earth and the type of person I’d want to be friends with. She always looks dressed appropriate for the occasion. I love this red tote as a splash of color to her casual, stylish outfit. Unfortunately I could never afford it…

It’s great for when you don’t want to have an ugly diaper bag on your shoulder! Kudos to the CLASSY, stylish moms….

Where can I find Jessica Simpson’s orange dress in star tracks? THANKS!!!

I am sure she didn’t pay for that bag either. Swag is free and that has Swag written all over it.

Dawn- Jennifer probably didn’t buy the purse, Valentino’s people probably sent it to her as a great advertisment for the bag. Also- what do you expect her to do with her millions? Donate it all? Nobody would do that! Look at Bill Gates, once the richest man in the world. He donated millions, yes, but still kept plenty for himself. I think it is wrong to judge Jen on having a two thousand dollar purse, it’s her money and her perogative!!!

Vanillabear on

Umm its ok I guess but I would never buy a bag that expensive! I have better stuff to spend my money on. Andrea- I don’t agree with you. Theres HUNDREDS of things that could use some more donations! Example: 3rd world countries that are starving and don’t even have a house to live in, fresh drinking water in Africa, more fundings for schools, GLOBAL WARMING, you get my point. So when you decide to spend $2000 on a purse, when all these other much more important things could use some donations, I think thats a little bit selfish.

Getting a little deep in here (Vanilla Bear) Calm down, it is only a purse. If you want to debate on Global Warming or poverty in 3rd World Countries go to CNN.com this is People.com in case you didn’t notice.
Geez

I hope i find a copy of that bag at asos because $1795 is a bit much for a bag.I love Jens style its just so casual comfy. She doesnt dress to impress like other stars i could name she goes her own way.

In 2000, Gates founded the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, a charitable organization, with his wife. The generosity and extensive philanthropy of David Rockefeller has been credited as a major influence. Bill Gates and his father have met with Rockefeller several times and have modeled their giving in part on the Rockefeller family’s philanthropic focus, namely those global problems that are ignored by governments and other organizations.[54]

The foundation’s grants have provided funds for college scholarships for under-represented minorities, AIDS prevention, diseases prevalent in third world countries, and other causes. In 2000, the Gates Foundation endowed the University of Cambridge with $210 million for the Gates Cambridge Scholarships. The Foundation has also pledged over $7 billion to its various causes, including $1 billion to the United Negro College Fund. According to a 2004 Forbes magazine article, Gates gave away over $29 billion to charities from 2000 onwards. These donations are usually cited as sparking a substantial change in attitudes towards philanthropy among the very rich, with philanthropy becoming the norm.[55]

Yah and only a $2000 purse! Don’t tell me that that isn’t a lot! You missed my point, JAMES, my point was that there are better things to spend your money on. Oh and btw: I am well aware that this is people.com, my other point was that I don’t really like the purse. I think it’s sad that people feel like just throwing money out the window sometimes. I do like Jen’s style though, don’t get me wrong.

not about this one, but where would i find a cheaper version of Jessica Biels green dress she wore to a friend’s wedding?

The red tote is very cute, but the price isn’t so much. The price is………well……ridiculous!
