What Do You Think of Joel Madden’s Two-Tone ‘Do?

SS/Flynet

There seems to be a two-toned hair trend emerging among hipster guy celebs — at least by the looks of Joel Madden’s new skunk-striped hair! The tattooed rocker emerged from the Neil George Salon, hand in hand with girlfriend (and salon regular) Nicole Richie on Monday with a distinct black and white hairstyle. Nicole’s colorist Tracey Cunningham of Neil George did the new look and tells PEOPLE that it was all Joel’s idea! “He told me what he wanted. It was all his idea. He just directed me and told me what he wanted. It was already cut that way and so we bleached the side and put black on the top.” Ah, a man who knows what he wants! Tell us: What do you think of Joel’s new two-tone ‘do? Love it or hate it?

Get the Scoop on Angelina’s $26 Premiere Dress!

GUERRA /GUERRA JR / RAMEY

Taking a break from the custom couture and jewels that she wore to great effect in Cannes, Angelina Jolie turned up at last night’s N.Y.C. premiere of A Mighty Heart in a $26 dress. Yup, you read that right. The actress told “Access Hollywood” that her black crushed velvet dress was from the vintage store Wasteland on trendy Melrose Avenue in L.A. Wow, talk about a bargain! But she did add a dash of designer bling with her crystal-encrusted Christian Louboutin for Loris Azzaro heels and Frances Klein diamonds — and the ultimate accessory of a Tom Ford-clad Brad Pitt by her side.

Summer Beauty Trick: Cuticle Care

courtesy essie.com

Low-maintenance bare nails are in for summer (seen recently on the likes of Selma Blair), but that doesn’t mean you should ignore your digits completely. To keep your nails looking good, polished or not, we’re loving portable treatments like Honest to Goodness Cuticle Cream, $8, and Essie’s Cuticle Pen, $12. The tiny tin of Honest to Goodness Cuticle Cream is packed with ingredients like jojoba seed oil, cocoa butter, and beeswax to soften ragged edges. Essie’s mess-proof Cuticle Pen soothes and protects with super-hydrating apricot oil and shea butter. Just remember to use them every day to keep nails looking good — especially after a day at the pool or the beach. Tell us: What do you do to keep your cuticles in good shape?

Katherine Heigl: Real-Life Scrubs Spokeswoman

GALE ADLER/abc; Splash News online

Celebrities have been known to pitch everything from makeup to clothing to beverages (see Jennifer Aniston’s new SmartWater campaign) but Katherine Heigl is trying her hand at something unheard of — endorsing a line of scrubs! The Grey’s Anatomy star recently signed a deal with Peaches Uniforms for the Katherine Heigl collection of medical uniforms, including four looks meant to reflec the personality of Heigl’s on-screen alter ego Dr. Izzie Stevens. Kudos to Katherine on her deal, but we don’t think we’ll line up for this one the way we did with Kate Moss and Topshop. Read more on the deal on jezebel.com.
