Ellen Barkin glowed on the red carpet of the L.A. Ocean’s 13 premiere thanks to CoverGirl makeup artist, Molly Stern, who described the actress’s look as “sexy but subtle.” She kept the foundation sheer by applying Cover Girl Advanced Radiance Restorative Cream Foundation in Creamy natural with a damp sponge and only where needed. To give the star her rosy cheeks, Stern applied Chantecaille Aqua Blush in Enchanting. She kept the eyes low-key by smudging CoverGirl LineExact in Very Black over Nars eyeshadows in Blondie and Kiki, followed by a coat of mascara. To finish the look, Stern made Barkin’s mouth look full and pouty by first coating her lips with CoverGirl TruShine Lip Color in Nude and then adding a bit of YSL Touche of Brilliance Sparkling Touch for lips in Sparkling Nude to just the center of the lower lip — the perfect complement to her second-skin L’Wren Scott sheath and all those gorgeous co-stars.

We are used to seeing celebs hauling oversized handbags, but J.Lo decided to go to the other extreme last week, carrying a teeny-tiny clutch to a charity concert in New York. This itty-bitty cognac gold leather clutch with large crystal clasp is the “Beauty” by Swarovski and more of a wallet than a purse. Called a minaudiere in fashion terms, it’s beautiful, but not too practical. What could J. Lo fit in there?
