Shania Twain Dishes On Fragrance, Recording & Touring

How does a country music super-star announce her newest fragrance? By inviting a select group of beauty editors to a luncheon in New York City — and I was the lucky one seated right next to Shania Twain. Yep, baby argula salad and white truffle risotto with Shania. And yes, she is completely gorgeous, teeny-tiny, and down-to-earth friendly in a way that is pleasantly surprising when you’re talking about, oh, one of the best-selling female recording artists of all time. She told me she and her husband (and music-producing partner) Mutt Lang will start working on her new album this summer, with a tour to follow next year. “Oh, definitely! We’ll tour very soon after the album comes out,” she said. And the new fragrance? A follow-up to her runaway success 2005 fragrance, Shania by Stetson, her new scent is Shania Starlight by Stetson (sense a theme?), which is meant to reflect the glamorous side of the star with a mix of freesia and sexy jasmine and amber. Shania Starlight by Stetson will be available in September for $18-$42 at department stores, drugstores, and ulta.com. — Elizabeth Lamont

I was wondering what happened to ‘ol Shania! I think she is a beauty and I will try her perfume. It sounds like it smells wonderful with the freesia and jasmine.

Ever since Shania came out with “Any Man of Mine” I have been hooked. In a world that only shows pictures of Lindsey, Britney, and Paris, it is so refreshing to finally see a beautiful, successful woman who truly knows what she wants. I can’t wait for her tour!

I have her first perfum and love it. I also love the fact that the price isnt out of reach. I will buy her second one for sure. Im also so excited for her next CD. I just love her music.

Shania once made a comment that the reason her family lives in France is because she cannot stand the people over here. I for one would not want to bother her so I will not be buying her perfume or her album.

First off, Shania does NOT live in France! She lives in Switzerland and New Zealand. She does so for privacy not because she hates the people in North America!

Secondly, I cannot wait for her new scent to come out! Her first one was extremely successful and was even nomintaed for a fragrance award last year! Can’t wait for September! :)

SHania is the best. She is one of the biggest stars of alltime but yet she keep her life private and lives with class and dignity. She is a global icon who doesn’t crave media attention. CAn’t wait to buy anything SHania has to offer in the next year.
