Summer Must-Have: Daily SPF Moisturizers

Even if you’re a bit of a sunscreen slacker during the cooler months, everyone needs some sort of SPF in the summer — yes, even on those cloudy days. The easiest way to incorporate sun protection into your routine is by using a daily moisturizer with SPF. Olay Complete Defense SPF 30 Daily UV Moisturizer, $14 at drugstore.com, is one of our favorites for providing protection in a quick-absorbing sheer formula. For something with a bit more coverage, try Dr. Brandt Tinted Daily UV Protection SPF 30, $30 at sephora.com, which has a subtle bronze hue. Those who prefer sheer — but not totally bare — should go for Dove’s Energy Glow Skin Brightening Facial Moisturizer, $9 at drugstore.com, which has just a hint of radiance. La Roche-Posay Anthelios SX Daily Moisturizing Cream SPF 15, $29 at skinelite.com, is this season’s scientific favorite — the incredibly hydrating cream contains the super-potent (and newly U.S. approved) UVA filter Mexoryl.

I love anything Dove…it’s so soft on my skin…and Dove’s energy glow is great if you want a little summer glow, but don’t want to be in the sun everyday…Love Dove!!:)

Hey sophieb,

Have you ever tried Olay Complete SPF 15, light, non greasy, Antioxident Vit E, color and fragrance free (I use sensitive skin and normal), I started using Olay Complete about a year ago. It’s the best and I truly love it and highly recommend it to you!!!

Plus, you can always try any Aveeno product. Aveeno has a wonderful new sunscreen lotion too, Aveeno Active Naturals! SPF 30, this stuff is fabulous and it doesn’t stink like other sunscreens!!

Anyway, try Olay complete, I hope you like it!! It comes in a box and is roughly 10 bucks!

Another fantastic oil-free moisturizer is made by Neutrogena. I use the tinted one with SPF 15 and it’s amazing! I put that on, brush on some translucent powder and bronzer and I’m good to go! P.S. Don’t forget the lip gloss, too!!
