The Inside Scoop on Jordin Sparks’s Finale Dresses!

Going from average high school student to America’s singing sweetheart requires a certain wardrobe adjustment. So you may have noticed when Jordin Sparks, who wore an affordable dress on last week’s American Idol, stepped it up last night in a custom-made designer frock by Badgley Mischka. Longtime fans of the show, Mark Badgley and James Mischka honed in on Jordin early on. Badgley tells PEOPLE, “We kept thinking, ‘That’s a beautiful young girl; she would look amazing in our clothes.’ ” So when Jordin made it to the top two with Blake Lewis, they jumped on creating her finale wardrobe. Mischka says of Jordin: “She’s absolutely amazing and such a talent. She’s only 17 years old, but we wanted her to look glamorous and feminine.” Judging by the dazzling black dress she wore when she brought the house down singing “This Is My Now,” they’re already on target. i think that dress is very unflatering on her. it makes her hips look 2 times bigger that they really are. and i dont like the see through stuff over the straps at all! its a good idea for a deas, but obviously was not put together very well or atleast for her body type. i like her, but i don’t think she should win tonight.

i love jordin and the dress is cute BUT i dont think it really works for her…i agree with lolly, it doesnt really work for her body time…she should have been in something a little more slimming…

i have to disagree with lolly…i love the top portion of the dress..but you do have to be a lil thinner to wear something like that…i bought one similar to that one in white and its gorgeous…

I like Jordin, but I don’t think that dress suied her body very well… if you know what I mean. Stick with the slimmer dresses.

I really like Jordin…. but I don’t like her dress at all. I thought her pink dress was really pretty, though!
