The white Catherine Malandrino is more appropriate for daytime – love it! It’s a very fun, summery dress. The black jeweled Colette Dinnigan tent dress is more fitting for evening – also love it! It shows off Kate Walsh’s arms and legs quite well – it doesn’t always have to be cleavage. I absolutely love the jeweled neckline, which looks good as she wore it – without loads of jewelry, just earrings… and her engagement ring. I think both dresses are sexy in different ways. Besides, not every woman has a shape that would be flattered by dresses that are more fitted.
Kate Walsh is on the ABC television show “Grey’s Anatomy”, which had it’s 3rd season finale Thursday May 17. In the fall she will be on her own show, a spin-off called “Private Practice”, which will be on Wednesdays at 9 PM. She was also in “Under the Tuscan Sun” [2003 film with Diane Lane] where she played Sandra Oh’s girlfriend/partner. [Sandra Oh is also on "Grey's Anatomy.]

I’m fascinated that so many of your readers think she looks good in both. I think she looks great in the white and pregnant in the black. Personally, if I were trying to look hot, I’d eighty-six the tent dresses (unless I’d just over-indulged in a truly fantastic meal!)

Kate Walsh is a doctor on Grey’s Anatomy and is soon to have her own spin-off called Private Practice. If you are unfamiliar with the show, you probably wouldn’t know much about her.

i like the tent dress the best; her legs look great. i’m not a fan of the white dress, but i like her hair down in that picture. i’ve never watched the show she’s on, but i do keep up with the gossip and apparently she’s getting her own spinoff, so that’s why she’s all over the news lately.

I think that both dresses look great on her and I agree with Sara B, that sexy is about attitude and presence, not so much what you’re wearing and what you’re showing. Sexy is also covering it up and leaving something to the imagination. P.S….I hear this sentiment from ALOT of my guy friends.
