For someone who has put on countless runway shows, to consider using shoes like those is a huge fashion faux pas. Or did he just want to see the models slip up? Obviously, it wasn’t thought out AT ALL, since someone really did get hurt. Here’s a tip: next time, try rollerskates instead- 4 wheels are easier to balance on than uni-skates.

He is a brillant man who has created legendary pieces of clothing but the basic fundementals of that shoe is off. A rounded sole with such a spike heel would be like walking on rounded stilts! If you saw these shoes close up, they were 6″ wedge heels, with little circles as heels-impossible to wear.
These women are the best in the business and we all know that these shows are pure theatre, meant to be beautiful, shocking and wild. John Galliano should know better than to put the models in shoes that could very easily put them out of work with a broken ankle for 6 months. Shame on him.
