What Do You Think of Britney's '80s Look?

05/16/2007 at 06:00 AM ET

Britney Spears has gotten her famously toned physique back in a major way, so we understand the impulse to flaunt it in her figure-revealing clothes. But the singer’s retro outfit does seem like a little much for just a day of shopping — the shorts are sweet and the colorful sneakers are perfect for summer. But the hat? The airbrushed tank? The, uh, knee-high tube socks? Color us confused. We vote for more chic trench coats and stylish dresses. Tell us: What do you think of the singer’s latest look?

I feel bad for her also…However, with all her money — don’t you think she could hire a stylist to get her back on track?

No, no no, I can’t stand the definition “poor girl” referred to Britney Spears…there are millions of real poor women around the globe, fighting for human rights, respect and social recognition…she had all in her hands, she trashed everything and, remember, she’s a mother of 2 and she needs to grow up, stop being a pathetic mess. Depression is a serious issue, if you face it seriously, if you really want to find a cure, you gotta listen to people, you don’t drop rehab ’cause you have to party all night or shop…please stop this poor britney thing, she’s disgusting in every way… oh, I was forgetting it… if that is an outfit I’m the Queen of England!

Common people, give the girl a break. Nobody says anything about Misha Barton’s wardrobe and she always dresses like a fool. Nobody says anything about Pam Anderson’s parenting skills and she is the biggest slut around. Her kids are constantly around different men and booze. Britney is immature and it is unfortunate that all her flaws are caught on camera, but I bet we’ve all made some bad choices in life and fashion. Live and let live…

I think her outfit is really cute! I think everyone needs to leave her alone…I mean look at all the other stuff these celebs are wearing…and all we hear about is what Britney’s done wrong! And honestly…who really cares what she’s wearing?!

Britney’s outfit also calls to mind the 1970’s…

I am not fan of Brit’s and….even if, she was just at the gym working-out, I still do not like the outfit!! But, I am glad she appears to be focusing on herself and her kids!

Laters!

She looks cute, its nice to see someone trying new things, maybe she could be a little more subtle though

You know what? I think the outfit is cute! I would nix the tube socks and sneakers and just wear flip-flops!!! I also think her short hair would look better than that wig!!
I also think some of her wigs are cute, but I bet that her hair is coming in nicely. She should show it off. It’d probably be more comfortable! Less itchy!! And she wouldn’t have to wear another ugly hat!

For someone with so much money you think she would pay someone to tell her what she should wear. She looks hideous!!!!!

She used to have a cute, funky and fresh style and now, well,I don’t know what happened!

BARUMBABEE you really have some mean things to say. Everybody makes mistakes. I just can’t stand people who judge other people without judging themselves.I think everybody has their own style. I think it’s cute, what she’s wearing.
