Beauty Obsession: Duwop Revolotion

05/16/2007 at 11:00 AM ET

Spring is upon us, and that means that I am faced with having to put aside my opaque tights and bare my legs — my incredibly pale legs, that is. I have never been a fan of self-tanners — blame on my application skills, but I inevitably end up looking like I have a rash, not a tan — but I have a miracle product instead. I’ve been a fan of DuWop for years, and their Revolotion Tinted Body Moisturizer is just like my favorite tinted moisturizer for my face, but meant for my legs instead. Not only does it have SPF 15 in it, but the tinted cream covers nicks, bruises and even little veins in my legs, making them look almost airbrushed. The best part is that it washes right off — no fading or streaking or awkward orange palms. Even my most self-tanner addicted friends have been known to filch tubes of Revolotion when they come to my home. Try it for yourself, $25 at — Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

I tried something very similar to this last summer. It was great, but the color rubbed off on my clothes. It was just like wearing make up on my legs. Just curious if anybody who has tried this can say whether or not they had this problem with this product. Thanks!!

My mother tried this and so did I. We both hated it and then gave it away. I have red hair and very fair (almost blue-ish) skin and it looked terrible (streaky, fake) and got on my clothing. Who wants make-up on their legs? Looking natural is best… and pale is beautiful and healthy!

I don’t need a self-tanner becuz i tan easily. But, I haven’t tried self-tanner so i wouldn’t know. But I have friends who have and they just turn orange instead of tan. Not for me.
