it always makes me a little wary when a politician gets the backing of a large portion of hollywood, since so many people there are outlandishly privilaged, and the town as a whole has a reputation for being fickle and jumping on the bandwagon for whatever furthers their popualrity or helps their image at the moment. i realize that not everyone is like that, but it just seems like people tend to endorse whatever is deemed “cool” so that they remain part of the in-crowd. if they are wearing shirts supporting something that they really believe in and have read up on, more power to them, but if they support something because it’s the “in” thing to support, that’s crappy.
