The Truth Behind Kate Walsh’s New Do

We were surprised by the blunt bangs Kate Walsh sported to last week’s GLAAD awards, but amazingly, it turns out that the Grey’s star didn’t have them permanently cut! PEOPLE caught up with her at an Escada party in Beverly Hills a few days later where she told us that the bangs are actually “a piece. I’m trying it out. I can’t do anything because I’m still shooting the show [Grey's Anatomy].” Should the actress cut them for real? I think she has a good face for bangs, but I don’t like the blunt, thick carpet of them. I think she’d look sweet with long side-swept bangs. I guess I’ve never been a fan of the straight blunt cut.

Or, actually, she might look great with no bangs but SIDE-parted hair. Parting her hair in the middle doesn’t look so great, in my opinion.

I like bangs in general, but hers (well, her fake ones) looked way to heavy for her face. I’m glad to hear it’s just a piece. Maybe actual bangs would look good. Side-swept ones would be easier to sport I think. She’s beautiful anyway!

AMAZINGLY those are fake? They’re not even human hair, let alone her own! I think she looks better without such full bangs, but it may be pretty with thinner bangs.

I don’t know if it’s the lighting or makeup too. She looks a lot younger with the bangs. I would go with bangs.

Those bangs look silly to me. They are way too thick, long, and in her eyes. Gives me a headache to just look at this picture. They are not cute!

I love Kate Walsh and think she is gorgeous, but the bangs definitely don’t do much for her. She has worn her hair with more of a side part before, it looks good on her. As long as she stays away from the bangs she will continue to look amazing!
