Holey Donuts: Finally a Delicious Low Fat Desert

04/24/2007 at 11:00 AM ET

When the StyleWatch team heard about Holey Donuts — with only 3 to 4 grams of fat unlike the 15 to 20 grams in regular donuts — we had to try them. While some low fat desserts have the appeal of eating cardboard, these treats were surprisingly delicious. Even better was that Holey Donuts and the equally yummy Cinnamon Buns contain zero trans-fat, zero cholesterol and no artificial sweeteners or fat substitutes. How is that even possible? The secret to the great taste and guilt-free nutrition lies in a unique cooking process which avoids deep frying and causes a dramatic reduction in fat content (including zero trans-fats!), leaving you with 25 percent less calories in Holey products than other donut companies. There are over 18 varieties of donuts including the marble frosted , coconut, carmel, boston creme and cinnamon buns that are available for delivery across the country at holeydonuts.net (1 dozen for $24). Try them and tell us what you think!

I have to tell you, the donuts are OUT OF THIS WORLD – ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I feel guilty eating them, because they taste like the real thing! I shared a couple so far to the delight of my friends and next week, I’m delivering a dozen to my colleagues at The Planet for more sharing of the pleasures.

Ive had Holey Donuts to and iam addicted, they are big and arrive beautifully, I came home to some very exciting treats—and since then I think
I’ve eaten part of a donut every hour on the hour.

24 dollars?! They better be coated with gold and just because they contain less calories, doesn’t make them healthy. I meet with a nutritionist and she said the less calories, the more carbs. and i agree with Annie M., if u want a donut, have a donut once in a while. As long as you dont stuff your face with it every single day, you will be okay!

I think it’s too good to be true. They must be made of Soylent Green or something.

Yeah…these doughnuts are WAY too expensive…but they look yummy!(they should be for $40)….and I agree with Julia and Annie… treat yourself to a doughnut once in awhile.. just not all of the time!

Just had a good old normal doughnut. Totally worth it. I’d rather use the money on something a bit more worthwhile than bread and frosting.

Those of you that haven’t tried these donuts have no clue….THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY! Yes, it’s a luxury item but I LOVE them and don’t forget about their cinnamon buns. They are even more amazing. Good Stuff! Keep it up Holey Donuts!

Wow ive never seen so many cheap people..Have you never poght a goumet frozen item on line before…shipping is expensive

PLEASE LADIES GET OUT OF KMART SOMETIME!

Alice on

Yeah, I buy PLENTY of gourmet items but the shipping never costs more than the actual item. So Jan maybe you better rethink before you assume that just because someone doesn’t pay $60 for donuts that probably taste no better than Krispy Cremes doesn’t mean they shop at Kmart. Don’t be such a loser.

HAHAHA…you tell her alice! i agree 100%
