Look Chic While Grocery Shopping!

We often see photos of celebrities like Ashlee Simpson and Ashley Olsen grocery shopping and marvel at their high heels and trendy outfits. But you know what would make them really fashionable? Bringing their own reusable printed grocery bags! The Envirosax comes in four lovely patterns, is small enough to fit into the tiniest of handbags and is as strong as two plastic bags. On this Earthday, why not make a pledge to stop using plastic bags and start bringing your own? You’ll be green and chic! Log onto delight.com to order a set of four Envirosax bags — normally $30, but you’ll get 10% off if you type in People when you check out! Offer is good until April 30th!

This coupon code does not work.

I ordered my set this morning and can not wait for them to arrive but I have a couple of notes about ordering them:

* The price is $33 – not $30 plus minimum $5 shipping so it ends up being about $40.
* I could not get the promotional code to work regardless of how I typed it in.
* They are completely sold out and do not expect the next batch to ship until May 20th.

I love it and what a perfect idea for Earth Day. They are so cute. I would love one.

The bags are cool patterns, but really, any old reuseable bag will work (I just use mesh beach bags or old totes!). It’s a wonderful (and unbelieveably easy) thing to do for the earth – especially considering that every year the world goes through 9 BILLION plastic bags.

These bags are SUPER cute, but here are some alternatives that are even more environmentally friendly, though not nearly as nice to look at:

Oops – that last link was for companies only. Here is the best link that I have found so far:

The green bags are nice and way cheaper than any of the others I have found – 5 bags for $18! I just ordered 4 of the natural canvas bags – they may not be as fashionable, but they’ll be great for grocery shopping, the beach and for my cat to play in. :)

nice to see a Delight.com bag featured here as you can usually find very cool things, presents, etc. there.

Mary

Those bags look so cute! And the girl carrying them looks so happy! :D

These bags are super cute. I also just purchased a fabulous Marc Jacobs tote for only $12 that I’m gonna use for grocery shopping :-)

It’s amazing how it cost a lot of green to say your green! Cute bags and a great idea. Those that are into sewing prob could make their own for a lot less.

I just ordered them and the promotional code worked fine. I typed in ‘People’ and it deducted 3.30 off the original $33. So, with shipping these great bags were only 34.70 including tax and shipping!

I’d love to know where to get the green dress Audrina was wearing on the MTV CANADA Hill Aftershow last night. It was beautiful!

J’adore the idea of reusible grocery bags! My mom always reuses her grocery bags. In Germany, where I come from, you have to take your own grocery bags to the store, they charge for the plastic ones. (NEVER BUY PLASTIC BAGS, YOU CAN’T RECYCLE THEM!!!) But I wouldn’t go to the trouble to buy colorful pretty ones (unless they are the same price as plain-colored reusible grocery bags) because we often buy olives–which tend to spill a lot.

hmmm…just okay.
These have more colors, better price:
