Kelly Clarkson’s Glam New Look: Love It or Hate It?

Kelly Clarkson tends to show up to red carpets looking either sweetly done-up, as she did at the CMT Giants event last year, or really rocked out. But we’ve never seen Kelly look quite as chic and sophisticated as she did at the ASCAP awards last night! Sporting a sleek and glossy brunette bob, the singer stepped out in a moss green chiffon Monique Lhuillier cocktail dress with a pearl-laden neckline and blinged-out Guiseppe Zanotti stilettos. Even her makeup was flawlessly easy with major lashes highlighting her hazel eyes. Color us impressed! What do you think? Tell us: Do you love Kelly’s sophisticated new look? Or do you hate it and miss the old look better?

Great Green Idea: Fleurville Totes

Ok, not all of us can get the sold-out Anya Hindmarch “I’m Not a Plastic Bag,” but don’t worry, there are plenty of great eco-friendly bags to be had! Fleurville has created a line of Stroller Bags using Re-Run™, a fabric that is woven from the remains of recycled plastic bottles! Available in four colors, the bags retail for $70 and are already popular with celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow and Sara Jessica Parker. But Fleurville’s colorful floral totes and diaper bags aren’t exactly environmental offenders. Everything in the line, from the totes, $60, to the Fob wrist bags, $22, are environmental-offender PVC-free. Get yours at fleurville.com.

Jennifer Garner and Pals Celebrate Oscar!

As any stylish woman knows, there is more than one golden Oscar in Hollywood — we’re not talking about the coveted award, but the designer who has been turning out enviably gorgeous dresses for more than 40 years. Jennifer Garner, along with a slew of famous friends, celebrated Oscar de la Renta by hosting a benefit for the EIF Women’s Cancer Research Fund in his lavish West Hollywood boutique. Jennifer told PEOPLE that even though she “can be hard to dress because I don’t like a lot of fashion-y stuff, with these clothes, it was hard to choose. There were so many dresses I like.” But she picked her chic beaded sheath because “I just love the shape of it. I loved that it wasn’t super-tight.” A slim post-baby Amanda Peet paid homage to the man who designed her wedding dress (she tells us that she feels “very indebted to him.”), saying of her Oscar dress, “Well, this is a good dress. It hides in all the right places.” And Brooke Shields summed up the designer’s appeal when she told PEOPLE, “He knows how to dress a woman.”

Jessica Simpson snagged some KnockKnock memo pads , while Selma Blair purchased some Cristi Conaway sweaters. Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon snatched up a copy of the latest must-see movie, The Secret. Gifts for themselves, or for their significant others? Lucky for you, Alpha recently launched their online store alpha-man.com , where you can pick up the perfect items for both you and your guy.

What’s Katharine McPhee’s Favorite Perfume?

The former American Idol-er may be “Over It” on her new album, but she’s crazy in love with Japanese designer Hanae Mori’s new Magical Moon fragrance. This scent is not for the clean green tea- or crisp cucumber-loving among us; it’s sexy, sweet and very rich, with notes of the night-blooming osmanthus flower, star fruit, vanilla and musk. And in keeping with its shout-out to the mystical powers of the moon, it’s blended in vats lined with blue moonstone and bottled only during a full moon. The Eau de Parfum 1-ounce spray is $65 on nordstrom.com.

Happy Birthday! Our Fantasy Gifts For Kate Hudson

Over the past few years, Kate Hudson has managed to captivate us with her laidback flower child style and her infectious smile — just like her mother Goldie Hawn. So for the golden girl’s 28th birthday, we had a few ideas on what we would get her — if we had the money and were actually friends with her! Anyone who wants to steal our ideas (Mr. Wilson, we’re looking at you) should feel free.

1. Between cycling with Owen Wilson and jogging, Kate needs some stylish ways to protect herself from the sun.
“target=”_blank”> Frederic Fekkai’s Beach Waves spray will keep her golden locks shining, and

“target=”_blank”> Juice Beauty’s tinted lip moisturizer will protect her pout with SPF. And why not
Dior’s Glossy Large sunglasses to shield her baby blues?

2. She always looks so at home on the beach, so we’d love to see her in this Lisa Curran polka dot bandeau set or Fabucci’s reversible twist bandeau one to show off her lean figure. And she can slip on a pair of cute shorts to cover up when she leaves the beach. How about American Apparel’s 70’s inspired terry ones or Kri-Jessica’s striped ruched bottoms ?

4. After spotting her in this Ella Moss dress , we can’t wait to see her in more white! Chloe’s sack-style silk dress has a sweet vibe, or for a more bohemian look, there’s Scoop’s embroidered peasant dress . Since we adored her Chanel gladiator sandals, why not get more pairs? She can add a metallic dash with Stella McCartney’s silver pair or Roberto Cavallli’s gold lionhead sandals .
