Spokesmodel Alert: Drew Barrymore is a CoverGirl!

Not only is she a successful actress and producer, but Drew Barrymore can now add CoverGirl to her lengthy resume! Drew will not just be the face of the new campaign, but she will also be co-creative director for the tv commercials, debuting in January 2008. Esi Eggleston Bracey, Vice President and General Manager, CoverGirl Cosmetics in North America, says “we wanted to honor Drew’s passions as a filmmaker and are thrilled she is not only lending her beautiful face to CoverGirl but also lending her artistic talents as the co-creative director of the ad campaign.” But don’t worry — the actress isn’t exactly switching careers. “I leave the makeup and product up to them, that’s their expertise,” she told The Associated Press in a phone interview from the set. “What I want to do is honor the tradition of CoverGirl but hopefully bring myself and my personality into it, as well as some edgy fashion-forward thinking and positivity to it.” As for becoming a model, the actress joked, “What girl doesn’t fantasize about it?”

I love Drew!!! I think she has become a beautiful woman!!! I’ve loved her from the start she’s a class act I think more girls should go to her for advice in the hollywood industry … she’s been there and came out on top maybe she can teach others how to achieve that!!!

This face is what I wish the face of Hollywood was- and I wish more role models were made from ladies like Drew here.

Drew Barrymore is one of the best people to date to be chosen as a Covergirl – she is a versatile and extremely gifted actress. I also believe she deserves this honor because she turned her life around from her troubled teen and preteen years and became the gorgeous and classy lady she is today.

The world needs more Drew Barrymores! Good luck to Drew on all her endeavors!

I personally am disappointed. Not because Drew isn’t adorable but because having once been a vegetarian who stood up for animal rights why would she knowingly sign up to endorse a company that still does cruel animal testing on their products. Money that’s why. As I said I am VERY disappointed.

Drew is an old spirit. She is beautiful inside and out. I love her new look and think she looks better now than she ever has. Britney Spears could take some pointers from her (she was a wild star child as well). Look how lovely she has turned out.
