Are Keira And Rupert Channeling the ’80s?

We’ve seen Keira Knightley and her boyfriend Rupert Friend coordinate their clothes before — but this time, their carefully matched primary colored outfits remind us too much of an early 80’s band shoot. Is it just us or does Keira’s fedora remind you of Simon Le Bon in Hungry Like the Wolf, and Rupert could be auditioning for the revival of Dexys Midnight Runners! Keira’s gingham sundress is sweet, but the gold Chanel gladiator sandals/black tights combo seem really out of place . And Rupert’s jeans look like they are one stiff breeze off of indecency! We think Keira and Rupert are a stunning couple — that height, that talent, those cheekbones! — but this look just isn’t working on them. Tell us: What you think of the duo’s style? EVERYONE is chaneling the 80’s!! Leggings are back, and if you step foot into WetSeal, Gadzooks, or Forever 21 you will see that 80’s fashions are alive and well. That doesn’t mean because the style is readily available that it makes it cute!!!!

i really like Keira’s outfit but the shoes don’t match very well and for Rupert, the outfit looks very comfy.

I think they look cool, very innovative. I love when celebrities try different things and aren’t goinf with the “safe” choices. This is the problem with american celebrities e.g. Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Biel, Scarlett johanssen ( sorry if misspelled) they always look the same and booooooring.

They are cute and quirky. If everyone followed the rules of fashion, there would be nothing to talk about on these blogs. Besides, I would much rather see this look rather then the barely dressed look.
