Julie:

Kudos on your "pre-emptive strike", I guess.
I'm 33, 112 lbs and 5'6.
I have a well-rounded cardio and pilates routine. Never have had any lipo or cosmetic assistance. And I've had a kid. So, THANK YOU.

Wow Hunnybunn, you must've never stepped foot into a gym!! Your ignorant as hell.

Most people who are in the gym are a little overweight, middle-aged.. etc. Not everyone lives out in L.A. where liposuction is more common than working out.

And before you start the argument, of "oh, well you're a fat ass and you're old" I'm 20, 5'6" and 120 lbs. I go to the gym to build muscle and swim a few times a week. Kthanks.

Kiki, you're not going to sell workout wear using 5'4 140 lb models. Who are you most likely going to see in a gym, out on the street jogging, coming out of a pilates class--people who are already thin and in shape, maintaining their physique. Larger people are not going to be sporting the spandex anyway, they're the ones wearing the baggy tshirts and easy pants. Sorry, but that's just the cold hard truth.

I love her. If anyone hasn't seen the movie ON THE LINE with her and Lance Bass, you should check it out. They are both really good in it and it is such a cute movie. I think it's cool that she is doing the add campaign because she isn't one of those over rated and over exposed stars like Paris Hilton. Go Emmanuelle!

I don't know why they picked this woman to do the ads. She looks nothing like any women I know, or see working out.
The average American woman is like 5'4 and 140 pounds and wears a size 12/14. Why do all advertisements feature women who look nothing like us, but are trying to sell us clothes.
I don't get it. Since many of the people who actually buy gym clothes are people who are trying to lose weight, why not show someone who is overweight or normal looking in their clothes?
