Does the M.A.C. version works as the Dior version? the Dior spray foundation is applied directly to your face, not your hands, is designed to work that way. Can anybody tell me?

Spray on foundation is not a bad investment. You are not supposed to spray it directly to your face. That could be a mess. Instead spray it on make up wedges and apply that way. Dispose of the used ones.
If used properly they can provide a more natural looking coverage that gives your skin an opportunity to breathe. It can also give your skin a slight go that looks fresh and not overdone.

actually i wear the sally hanson spray on and i spray it right on my face from my forhead down to my chin and it works better than spraying it on something then putting it on my face.

I happened to be changing the chanel one evening and came across one of the shopping networks and susan somers makes a spray on foundation for about $24-25 you spray it directly on to your face and they showed them spraying it on models live and it was beautiful. I haven’t tried it yet but I’m looking forward to it.

Heyy dont use your fingers just use a wedge sponge and it’ll do the job perfectly . Just spray it on the sponge and then to your face. Thats it.

Some of you guys evidently haven’t done your homework. People keep posting that they’re current MAC users and why would they spend more money and change their foundation regimen….all the MAC foundations are around the same price ($26-32) so find another argument.

Sadly the M.A.C. Spray foundation is now discontinued!! Very sad news indeed, since it was the only one that was affordable. I wish someone else would make one that is affordable, because ERA or DIOR charges in the neighborhood of 60$ which is insane.

I have seen them use this many times on What Not To Wear, yes, it is on TV, so I’m sure there there is some strategic airbrushing, but I’m still willing to give this a try. If you don’t have bad skin and don’t really need to cover anything up, then don’t use it. But for someone like me who has always had acne and other skin problems, you’re always looking for something new that might finally work, and I know mac is great, so I’ll give it a shot and let you know how it goes!

I do use the Dior Spray Foundation and have loved it. I only recently stopped using it for the expense, but is it worth it? Yes!

Also, I do spray it directly to my face, then blend with a brush. The coverage is great! If i feel like applying a little more in certain areas, I spritz it on my hand and apply directly with my brush.

I’ll be sure to check out MAC’s version of this- the price seems right, but for anyone who doubts the spray, don’t knock it till you try it!

The ability to spray, blend, and go is really a valuable convenience when you’re on the go.

Actually, you can spray it directly on skin instead of using brush to apply. I’ve done this twice now, and after a little blending with my fingers, my skin looks a lot better than it ever did using a different formula foundation. The consistency of the foundation is different than any bottled foundation I’ve tried.

Not to be smart- really- but does anyone actually get some kind of major infection from using regular liquid makeup? I know that over time extra bacteria from your fingers can build up on the bottle, but there’s bacteria all over the place out there. After all, that bacteria was on your hands to begin with, right? Even if an overgrowth of it collects in your makeup, I just don’t see where its going to kill you. People have been putting their fingers into their creams and makeup forever.

To me, its not enough reason to switch over to a messy aerosol makeup over a more convenient compact or stick formula.

I love Mac. I’ve been using their spray foundation for about 2 months. Its great. Very natural looking. As someone who doesnt like to wear heavy makeup I have to say its excellent.

Girls, A safety tip: Don’t forget that spray foundations has one good point because it is more hygenic than bottled one that can encourage bacteria growth in it’s damp liquid once its open. I wouldn’t mind paying extra for my skin’s safety.

Thanks, KC! I’m a M.A.C. addict, so I was considering this. Another thing to remember if you are a M.A.C. user is that the shades aren’t the usual system, i.e. I’m Nc15 and I don’t think the light is light enough.
