Hilary Duff’s New Bangs: Love ‘Em or Hate ‘Em?

We are constantly amazed by what a simple snip does to someone’s appearance. This weekend, Hilary Duff debuted new eyebrow-grazing bangs at the National Kidney Foundation of Southern California’s Gift of Life Celebration. We’ve gotten so used to seeing Hilary with her darker hair, but the bangs really seem to change the shape of her face. But the Dignity singer is one of those fortunate people who can pull off anything! Tell us: What do you think of Hilary’s new bangs? Love ‘em or hate ‘em?

Sarah Jessica Parker on Other Celeb Designers and Cheap Chic

After seeing her as couture-clad Carrie Bradshaw for so many years, it may be hard to adjust to the idea of Sarah Jessica Parker wearing clothes that cost $20 and less — but the star’s new clothing line, Bitten, for mall mega-chain Steve & Barry’s is just that affordable. In the June issue of Glamour, SJP sounds off on a few other celeb designers, telling the magazine, “Madonna’s line for H&M is extremely directional, provocative and sexy. I don’t know J. Lo’s line as well, but I know that it’s much more trendy than Bitten. L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani is much more avant-garde, definitely high fashion. But I don’t want to do that for women, because that’s not really their lives.” And growing up with her sister’s hand-me-downs inspired her to do something so affordable, saying “It’s a very different philosophy of shopping. It’s the first and only time I’ve wanted to design. [Her childhood] informed my decision completely. It’s a way of giving women without financial means access to good, simple, well-made clothes to feel proud of.” And even today she is still more frugal than most. “I often return things because the spending gives me anxiety. But I’m not without my indulgences. And I don’t pretend I’m not enjoying the great fortune I’ve had.” Bitten hits stores June 7 — in the meantime, check out Glamour‘s slideshow of Sarah Jessica Parker by clicking here.

Would You Wear Fergie and Lindsay’s Suspender Shorts?

Is Summer 2007 destined to be the season of hard-to-wear bottoms? We thought Jessica Simpson and Mischa Barton‘s high-waisted pants were bad enough, but this weekend Lindsay Lohan (at the Coachella Music Festival) and Fergie (at the MTV Australia Video Music Awards) both sported short-shorts with suspenders. Shortalls? Suspender shorts? We can’t even figure out what to call the look, much less want to wear it. (And don’t get us started on Fergie’s high-waisted pants with suspenders look we saw at justjared.com!) But we’re willing to concede that everyone is entitled to their own opinion on this one, so we want to know how you feel about the look. Tell us: Would you wear shortalls like Fergie and Lindsay?

Beauty Obsession: FiberWig Mascara

My mascara is always flaky. By the end of the day, I have a trail of ashy remnants beneath my eyes. And to make matters worse it finds its way into creases I didn’t even know existed and magnifies them. So I’m always happy to try a new mascara. When I heard about FiberWig mascara, imported from Japan and purported to mimic the look of false lashes, I had to try it. The mascara deposits fibers onto your lashes to extend and volumize them. And, I’m happy to report, it lived up to my expectations, by not clumping even when I applied an extra coat several hours later. Even better, I got through the day without those telltale black smudges. You can buy Imju Fiberwig mascara at sephora.com for $22. — Katie Dickens

The Truth Behind Kate Walsh’s New Do

We were surprised by the blunt bangs Kate Walsh sported to last week’s GLAAD awards, but amazingly, it turns out that the Grey’s star didn’t have them permanently cut! PEOPLE caught up with her at an Escada party in Beverly Hills a few days later where she told us that the bangs are actually “a piece. I’m trying it out.  I can’t do anything because I’m still shooting the show [Grey's Anatomy].” Should the actress cut them for real? Help Kate make her decision by voting in our What’s Her Best Look gallery, then come back and tell us: Should she cut bangs or leave her hair as is?
