Weigh Yourself Like a Celebrity!

Getting on my scale is never the highlight of my day — and rarely a moment that I giggle with glee. So when I saw the Celebrity Scale, I saw a rare opportunity for laughing at my weight (in a good way). The brainchild of Irish designers Angry Associates, the scales measures you in terms of “celebrities” so you can weigh anywhere between Gizmo to the Karate Kid to King Kong. And now I know that if it looks like I’m creeping up toward Mr. Ed, it’s time to re-think feeding time. To buy your own, go to angry-associates.com, for $68 plus shipping. — Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

Why would I want to pay this kind of money for a scale? Its funny, but a little ridiculous in pricing.

Hahah what a great what to weigh yourself by not seeing numbers.

- Amber on

Interesting concept, but a tad pricey for amusement.

this is soo cute!..i would love to have this..if only i had more money!..im a student, i cannot afford to spend $68 on a scale! :( lol…

Clever idea but kind of expensive.

- Lori on

That’s so stupid. Who would even pay $5 for that?

- Noelle on

Clever idea, but pretty useless:) The price wouldn’t be bad for a real scale–I’m an athlete, and that’s about ballpark for something that helps me monitor changes in weight and body composition, like measuring percent body fat through electrical impedence.

I don’t find it funny at all. I’ve struggled with my weight all my life. I’ve struggled with anerexia and bulimia and I think that this would be too much of an incentive for someone who is going through this to try to be pin thin and possibly kill themselves in the process trying to be baby Jesus.

Hmmm….ok….let’s give all these young girls struggling with weight a bigger complex. Right on.
