Weigh Yourself Like a Celebrity!

Getting on my scale is never the highlight of my day — and rarely a moment that I giggle with glee. So when I saw the Celebrity Scale, I saw a rare opportunity for laughing at my weight (in a good way). The brainchild of Irish designers Angry Associates, the scales measures you in terms of “celebrities” so you can weigh anywhere between Gizmo to the Karate Kid to King Kong. And now I know that if it looks like I’m creeping up toward Mr. Ed, it’s time to re-think feeding time. To buy your own, go to angry-associates.com, for $68 plus shipping. — Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

Would You Match Haircuts With Your Spouse? The Beckhams Do!

Victoria Beckham’s new short blonde crop seems to have set off a wave of new pixie dos, and not just with the girls — husband David Beckham appears to be the latest copycat. The fabulous couple stepped out last night at the 2007 Sport Industry Awards in London with almost perfectly matched short, asymetrical blond hair. We love that these two take such care with their appearance, but we’re guessing most couples wouldn’t go to such (short) lengths to be in sync with each other. Tell us: Would you match your cut and color to your spouse? Would you want them to match to you?

Hot Shop: Colette’s 10th Anniversary!

What does the most stylish boutique in Paris get for its birthday? Nothing but ultra-exclusive, limited edition collaborations! If you’ve already made the pilgrimage to Colette, you know that its eclectic inventory of fashion, tech, art and design items have a constant handle on what’s hot—where else could you find must-haves like the Anya Hindmarch “I am not a plastic bag” tote, clothes by Proenza Schouler for Target and Victoria Beckham’s DVB sunglasses? But now it looks like the next hot items may be Colette-inspired. Chic designers like Lucien Pellat-Finet, Cartier, KidRobot and many more are paying homage to Colette and its milestone with their products. We love the “Make Me Sweat Colette” T-shirt from House of Holland and the Repetto ballet slippers printed with the store’s canine mascots Cap & Pep, $260 — and lust after these silver Goyard bags. If you can’t make the pilgrimage to Paris, check out the goods on the store’s ultra-cool website, colette.fr.

Spotted Shopping: Hayden, Reese and More!

HAYDEN PANETTIERE of Heroes, spending over an hour pouring over the latest trends at Harmony Lane. The actress showed an affinity for metallic clothing and left with a gold shimmer and bronze dress by Fighting Eel and a Karen Zambos shrug in gold. She also did well in the accessory department — scoring headbands, colorful bracelets and a key charm necklace from Vita. And for an upcoming event, Panettiere purchased a long butterfly print dress from Voom by Joy Han.

REESE WITHERSPOON, taking home both tie-dye camouflage and dragon embroidered cargos at Los Angeles store Lucky Kid. Witherspoon also snagged a bunch of boy’s T-shirts (including the Costa Rica ringer tee and the Hermosa Surfer T-Shirt) as well some Lucky Kids girls pieces. And for herself? The actress pondered a pair of white Lola Straight jeans. Meanwhile, other celebrities making the shopping scene at Lucky Kid include: new parents MARCIA CROSS and husband TOM MAHONEY on a shopping spree. And mom-to-be (again!) JULIA ROBERTS dropped in with daughter Hazel.

NICK LACHEY and girlfriend VANESSA MINNILLO, picking up baby clothes and toys at Beverly Hills boutique Petit Tresor. The couple was shopping for Lachey’s niece, Isabella, to celebrate her 1st birthday. Among their bounty: a ballerina suitcase puzzle, a plush pink robe and pink and gold sneakers.

MISCHA BARTON, hunting for beauty products at LUSH in London’s Covent Garden. The O.C. star picked up her favorite Cupcake Bio Fresh Face Mask (she’s previously bought this at LUSH’s Aspen store) and Sunny Hunny Soap Stack — a stack of the store’s favorite soaps — and the lavender-infused French Kiss Bubble Bar Slice.
