Would You Wear Rachel’s Rope Bracelet?

At first glance, we thought Rachel Bilson was taking the Nautical trend to an extreme when we spotted her wearing this rough-looking rope wrapped around her wrist. But upon closer inspection, we realized this is hardly something you would find in the Home Depot do-it-yourself aisle. This convertible bracelet/necklace by Beth Lauren is actually made up of gold threads woven with a 14K gold-filled chain and wrapped in 14K gold-filled wire. It can be purchased for $170 at bethlauren.com . It’s definitely edgier than the preppy rope bracelets that we are used to seeing. Tell us: Would you wear Rachel’s rope bracelet?

The bracelette is really uniqe and totally eyecatching. I checked out the designers websight, and her necklaces and earings are so cute too! They are also really reasonably priced for hand made jewelry.

Ugly – why would you wear that??? It looks dirty and gross. Ewww. Sometimes I think celebrities try to start the weirdest or ugliest trends, just to see if they can. Maybe they are just trying to prove how “super cool” they are…

I think it’s ridiculous! I would NEVER wear it as a bracelette or necklace – it looks like a rope that’s been chewed up and spit out!

Of course! I would make sure though that the rope isn’t itchy and the gold weaving on Rachel’s ensures that. Even if you can’t buy a 200$ rope it’s not too hard to accesorize your arm with the same look if you can get the right materials and weed it the right way. I think it looks cute with a short sleeved top and I would love to try that cute look out during the weekend.

The cost is not that great. But I love the concept of the ‘spun gold’ threads. It’s unique, and I think that’s why I like it.
