J.Lo: Has the Trendsetter Turned Follower?

Usually, Jennifer Lopez sets the trends that others follow — but seeing her top-knot at this weekend’s NRJ radio event in Paris, we could only think of Ellen Pompeo’s look at the SAG Awards in January. Tight bun on the top of the head? Check. Large diamond hoop earrings? Check. Pale glossed lips? Check. We get the feeling that Jennifer is shaking up her usual style lately — remember last week’s skull-print caftan? — but taking cues from someone else? J.Lo, say it ain’t so! This look is so harsh. Especially on Ellen her hair looks like it’s pulled back so tight it’s pulling on her face. On Jennifer it looks like something a little girl would wear. There faces are beautiful but this is going to extremes to show it off!

Are you serious you think Jlo copied ellen pompeo’s hair. So what you’re saying that ellen is the first star to wear her hair in a tight bun. Good one.

Ellen and Jennifer are both gorgeous (I COVET Ellen’s casual look on Grey’s Anatomy!) but this look is a “worst”!!

J.Lo resembles a little girl playing dress up! What was she thinking? Her makeup is too dark around the eyes and the bun thing just isn’t doing her any justice. Ellen looks somewhat sophisticated though.

Ellen’s bun is more to the back of her head, which is graceful and calls to mind ballerinas in Swan Lake. J Lo’s is directly on top of her head, which with a bone holding it in place calls to mind Pebbles Flintstone. It looks to harsh, especially with the overdone makeup–Ellen’s look is softer.
