Celeb Fave: Rare Love Candle

One woman’s aphrodisiac may be another’s turn off. Oysters, anyone? The exception may be scent — is there a female in the world who doesn’t love a yummy fragrance? With that in mind, the geniuses behind Studio at Fred Segal have added two new items sure to please the pickiest nose. (And they should know about pleasing discerning tastes: Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Aniston and Demi are all regulars.) Pink and frou frou has been done already, so they scented their Rare Love Candle, $95, with ylang-ylang, ginger, musk and sandalwood – all rumored to be aphrodisiacs. They promise the chocolate colored candle will burn for 150 hours — and that’s a lot of makeout time. You can order your own at www.beautyhabit.com.

$95! That’s out-rages!! Give me a break. If you are going to spend that much atleast have something to show for it. After its all melted you got nothing. That’s more then my hydro bill each month. So put the lights on and save your money.

Why would I want to pay $95 dollars for a candle?

Heather S.

Normally I’m all for paying more for quality, but I have nice clothing that cost less than that candle would! $95 for a candle? My husband would absolutely die!!

Alice

I agree with Heather, I like to pay more for good quality sometimes but $95 for a candle is a little outrageous. And I’m sure it doesn’t smell any better than a regular Yankee Candle.

Dawn

go to the dollar store get 4 candles that smell just as nice and burn just as quickly. Donate the other 94 dollars to a homeless shelter.

I don’t think I would ever waste 95 dollars on a candle. You can go to Yankee Candle and get HUGE candles that smell awesome for like $20 dollars.

enigma

$95.00 and 150 n’ hours of “Rare Love” better be some damn fine aphrodisiac to make it worth!! ROCK MY WORLD, BABY!!!!

Ashley

You gotta be kidding right??? That is just crazy. I agree with spending $ for good quality, but c’mon, this is ridiculous. Never! No thanks! I like Home Interior candles anyway. Pumpkin spice, sugar cookies, and baked apple pie are my favorite scents.

Sugar

I tried this and loved it enough to give it as a wedding gift to my friend. If you do the math it is about 63 cents an hour… not bad for 150 fun filled hours.

Elda

Enigma you are so funny!! All i can say is “I know that’s right”!!
