Trendwatch: Low Heels Step Up

From ballet flats to mini-wedges, low-heeled shoes look perfect for spring. A low heel (1/4 inch or just over 1-inch) can actually be more comfortable than a totally flat shoe and just that little lift helps slim the legs. I’m glad that I’m not the only one who is only 5’1! I tried the heel thing years ago and then I saw what I looked like in a mirror as I was walking and I looked funny. The last time I wore heels was to my wedding which was 5 and a half years ago. Heels either look good on someone or could look real bad on some. I’m in the latter.

Wow what hideous shoes. Even though I rarely wear low heels or flats (since I’m very insecure about my height) I wouldn’t wear these at all. I love the wedge heels normally but that silver metallic thing up there is beyond ugly. I’ll stick with my heels thanks.

Since I’m 5’9″ and my boyfriend is 5’7″ I love the fact that flats and low heels are getting so popular. It used to be impossible to find a CUTE flat shoe and now they are everywhere. However, I agree with the rest of you that these shoes pictured here are UGLY!

I went to target yesterday bc i thought the blue flat by isaac was cute. NOT IN PERSON. dont even bother….not worth it. However, Nine West has some super cute flats on sale right now. If you have a Nine West outlet, i suggest you get over there. They are buy one get the second pair 50% off!

Did you see the original article “The Low Heel Lowdown” in the People Style Watch magazine? I love Halle Berry’s flats but can’t recognize the designer. Any ideas?
