Tori Spelling Pulls Off a No Maternity Clothes Pregnancy!

03/13/2007 at 12:30 PM ET

Chalk it up to tent dresses, oversize tunics, empire waists and the other voluminous fashion trends of this year, but Tori Spelling has made it almost to the end of her pregnancy without switching to maternity wear. We’ve gotten the giggles over her endless fashion faceoffs with non-pregnant stars (like Mena Suvari and Molly Sims), but it is remarkable! Sure, Tori started out as a tiny size two so she had a few sizes to expand into, but she can’t be alone in her decision to skip the maternity section. Will other pregnant stars like Naomi Watts and Salma Hayek follow her lead? Will the rest of us be mistaken for being pregnant in our billowing sundresses?

Expecting or not, everyone looks good in this paillette-topped Alice+Olivia bubble dress. Get your own in yellow at nordstrom.com, $295.

I was pregnant last year and barely wore any maternity clothes, it’s not so unusual. When you are already supersized do you really want to wear supersized clothing?! The only problem is now I don’t want to wear empire shirts because I think I still look pregnant!

Speaking from a mom-to-be I think Tori looks a bit trashy and not very comfortable in this picture. The blue dress is a Great color on her, but the dress is way too short on her, because the belly raises everything. She can stop the pig-tail hair too. Other then that I think most of the time she looks good

I have never been a huge Tori fan, not sure of what she has done aside from 90210 and we all know her daddy was the producer for that, but I have to say that pregnancy has suited her well. I think she has looked her best while pregnant and I wish her the best with her new bundle of joy.

She’s young, she’s in love, and she is proud to be pregnant. I think she is beautiful! Way to go Tori!

I am pregnant as well and the tunic and longer shirts have kept me away from the ribbons and flowers of some maturnity wear. Yuck! Anthropologie had been great in that way as well as TopShop.

I just read else where that tori is at the hospital NOW giving birth!! They had a picture of her going in…

I think she looks cute. I’m pregnant too and I hope to goodness that I don’t have to wear maternity wear. Sure, it may look good on some of you, but she is young and so am I and any way that I can make my bump look trendy, I’m going to. I think some of her choices could have been just a tad bit longer but I think she looks beautiful.

Go Tori…

Some off Tori’s looks in the Fashion Face-Off are cute but I’m not liking this dress on her.
