For those of you who think rehab is just the fad, you obviously are ignorant about addiction. Hollywood is known for having access to all the alcohol and drugs one could dream up of. Being addicted hasn’t been marked as a trend and neither should getting help for the addiction.

Marc Jacobs has been extremely successful with his fashion line. Too bad, he was clean from drinking and then fell back into the habit. Jacobs knows that he has a problem and getting help is a step forward and shows him wanting to take action.

good luck to marc. i doubt this is a publicity stunt like someone above suggested. he’s a respected designer who is obviously intelligent enough to take a proactive approach towards his addiction. if we constantly have to read about rehab, i’d much rather read this type of story instead of how britney gets to leave to go shopping at her ‘treatment facility’.

Wow, *everyone* is going to rehab these days. I applaud Mr. Jacobs for being proactive and going to rebab now and not waiting until odd public behavior creates a scandal (escaping rehab twice in a week, shaving one’s head, skipping work due to hangov… I mean, exhaustion, etc). On a sidenote, how come recently rehabbed celebs like Lindsay Lohan are still partying and going to clubs? Isn’t that sort of like a compulsive shopper hanging out at a mall? It’s just like waving a steak in front of a hungry bear, no?
Anyway, Mr. Jacobs certainly has been busy lately – I imagine the Paris shows were a terribly hectic time, and extreme stress can contribute to “falling off the wagon.” Again, I applaud him for taking a proactive stance on his health and wellbeing! I wish him the best!

My goodness you sound shocked.. I thought that Rehab was a requirement in Hollywood, I didn’t know it was a choice. With all the stars, musicians and now designers making it trendy, I just assumed you had to do it to be known. Oh well, my bad.

As a follower of a 12 step program hearing all these celbs going in rehab. I’m thinking it’s the in thing to do like going to a spa. What ever it takes but rehab will never beat detoxing at your local aa meeting where they will love ya until you can love yourself.

those models look eerie…

good for him getting help – but not sure what i think about all these celebs going to rehab recently – do you think it has anything to do with publicity???

i hope they all get the help they need.
