Shopping Alert: Nanette Lepore Does Keds!

03/08/2007 at 12:00 PM ET

We love when fashion is not only affordable, but comfortable as well. So, we were thrilled when we heard that uber-adorable designer Nanette Lepore was teaming up with Keds, and the results are everything we hoped for! From the leopard-print ballet sneaker, $55, to the polka-dotted thongs, $55, these are one-up on your run-of-the-mill flats. Pair them with sweet sundresses, like Keds spokeswoman Mischa Barton, or jeans for a chic but casual look.

Wow!! Those shoes are so ugly, they hurt my eyes!!!

i think they are kind of cute. stanging alone as they are probably wouldn’t complement them as much as with a whole ensemble like jean capris and a cute tee. and they are sneakerish so although $55 is a bit much it’s still doable if you’d like to splurge a bit.

uco katy – stiletto girl? can you say shallow? god girls are stupid.

emi…. sweetheart, you don’t even know me!!!! i work in an office and i guarantee i dress way better then you ever could! go attack someone you actually know!!!!!!! how pathetic….

oh and by the way, how does one’s shoe preference make them “shallow”? I can understand how killing an animal fur a fur coat is “shallow” or getting plastic surgery is sometimes called “shallow”, even that is debatable…but a style of shoes??? haha that’s laughable!

ucokaty, you can tell s/he was just looking for someone to attack! Just ignore the bitterness :P

I think they are so cute and cool, but you have to wear it with somenthing classic, for instance: a black jeans, a white T-shirt and a silk scarf.
And they are different from other shoes… it’s nice not to wear always the same style.
But I agree with you that are very expensive!!!!

i think this shoes is adorable….i saw mischa barton wearing them with this cute little black dress and the first thing i noticed about the outfit were the shoes

they’re girly and youthful and not the same classical lepard print which i think makes them even more fun!

i’d really like a pair but 55 dollars is a bit much for keds (these are the only only i’ve seen that are even worth buying tho)
