Scarlett Johansson — Girl With a Monogrammed Handbag

Actress, designer, muse — what isn’t Scarlett Johansson these days? Sunday, the star (and current model for the house) sat front row at a Louis Vuitton show designer Marc Jacobs said was partly inspired by her. The designer called his latest collection -– inspired by Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer — Girl With a Monogrammed Handbag, a reference to Girl With a Pearl Earring, whose title character was played by Johansson. “Scarlett’s a great girl,” Jacobs told PEOPLE backstage after the show. “I love her. She’s totally cool and sexy.” Johansson returned the compliment, pronouncing Jacobs’s show “beautiful,” and “so wearable.” The actress, who appears in Louis Vuitton ads, also said: “I love the whimsy.” She spent the show – held in a sweltering tent in the Louvre courtyard in Paris – chatting to Antoine Arnault, the 27-year-old son of LVMH president Bernard Arnault, who was seated next to her. Jacobs decribed the show as “romance, but we wanted it bold.” Sounds like a description of Scarlett herself.

Jessica Biel’s Fashionably Busy Week

While other stars were recouping after the Oscar Weekend frenzy, Jessica Biel jetted over to Paris for a few fashion-filled days and to celebrate her 25th birthday. Look at this schedule — we’re ready to pass out just thinking about it!

Wednesday, Feb. 28: Arrives in Paris. Attends party for Mario Testino hosted by French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld. (Mischa Barton is also there.)

Thursday, March 1: Attends Stella McCartney show, but is escorted from front row three minutes in, clutching a plastic cup of Coke. Whisper is that she was hung over from Testino – Biel herself tells PEOPLE: “I wasn’t feeling well.” Later that evening, she revives sufficiently to go to Giambattista Valli’s showroom about 5 p.m. to check out his collection, one of the Valli catwalk models tells PEOPLE. Biel then goes to the 8 p.m. YSL show (“What can I say? Beautiful”), and has dinner with Valli. She told PEOPLE she didn’t party that night: “I just went out to dinner,” she said.

Friday, March 2: Biel attends Chanel at 11:30 a.m. and then Valli, at 4:30 p.m. She doesn’t go backstage at either show, though she tells PEOPLE of Valli’s clothes: “He uses beautiful fabric, he’s elegant, pretty. I feel like I’m going to go to a party and have a good time in his clothes. They’re so beautiful, so fresh.”

Saturday, March 3: Biel’s birthday. Biel puts her Valli have-a-good-time theory to the test by turning up in a fresh-from-the-catwalk black, white and yellow Valli dress at a party for the designer. It then becomes an impromptu birthday party for her when waiters bring out a chocolate birthday cake. She parties until 2:30 a.m.

Project Runway’s Alison Kelly Debuts Her Line

She may have been voted off season three after that recylced-material-dress disaster, but that hasn’t stopped Alison’s design career from taking off. Not only was she a fan favorite, but her women’s wear line, Dahl, has been seen on the backs of Juliette Lewis, Anne Heche and Hilary Duff–post Project Runway– and now, you can own her clothes too. Shopbop.com is exclusively offering Alison’s Dahl line of easy-to-wear dresses made out of jerseys and silks ranging from $190-$436. Of her collection, that has a hint of the past in an otherwise hip contemporary look, Alison says, “When you hint at the past, then people can relate to your clothing. They see something comfortable there.” That’s not all, jewelry designer Rachel Leigh teamed up with the Project Runway alumni to create pieces to complement her looks. Shop the whole collection of Dahl and jewelry here.

Beauty Obsession: Lipstick Queen

Back in the day, specifically the mid 90’s, I became completely obsessed with a lipstick line called Poppy, designed by Aussie Poppy King. When the line folded in 2002, I went into a funk and bought up multiple tubes of my favorite sheer nude lipstick, which I ran out of years ago and remains in my memory as the best lipstick I have ever owned. . . until now. After years in-house at Prescriptives, Poppy King is at it again with a new line of lipsticks, aptly named Lipstick Queen. Forget the beautiful Biba-esque packaging, and go straight ultra-flattering lipsticks. Choose from the Saints collection, which are sheer and sparkle-free, or the Sinners, which are pigment heavy and super-creamy. I am now a day-time devotee of Saint Pink and a nighttime addict of Red Sinner — and I hear that Nicole Kidman and Michelle Williams are fans too. Pick up your own online at Barneys.com, $20. — Melissa Liebling-Goldberg
