Britney Spears Shops Online - From Rehab!

03/01/2007 at 05:00 PM ET

When Britney Spears is not stepping out from rehab, it seems like she’s in there shopping online. Over the weekend, Spears, who checked into Promises treatment center in Malibu last Thursday, went on an online shopping spree at Intuition, an L.A. fashion boutique and one of her favorite haunts (check out her previous visit here). Among the four large shopping bags of loot, PEOPLE has learned, was a pair of red Denim of Virtue skinny jeans, $170, a lavender halter dress by Tart ($200), a Rich and Skinny miniskirt, $145, and a Rory Beca silk tunic dress, $215. Since Spears couldn’t pick up the clothes herself, her mom, Lynne, did the honors and dropped the bags off during one of her visits. We guess it’s part of Brit’s retail therapy.

I just hope shes getting better and that includes her sense of style!!! britney you can pull of your shaved head with some cool and “rocky” clothes and read skinny jeans and miniskirt are a great idea to begin with!!! show the world you just not sill have it but that you can glow as never before!!!

C on

This lavendar dress is really cute. I really hope she gets her act together so we can see her wear it when she’s healthy and ready to leave the rehab center.

alice on

She should worry more about her health and her children and less about her wardrobe.

bea (from spain) on

From Spain, we love you britney!!!!!!!!!We must encouraging her!!!!!!!!

Sarah on

I agree with alice….Brit, get yourself together and concentrate on your program! Shopping and anything ‘fun’ can come after you’re well!

Nighthag on

And I thought the goal on being in rehab is to get better.

j on

what an idiot

natalea on

i think she needs to stop worring about clothes and worry more about her childern… at this point i believe kevin needs to have the kids until she gets better.. i hope she gets back to her old self soon. i will be praying for her..

Dawn on

Alice that was a little negative until you been thru rehab or detoxing when all you think about is what a damn ass you were using and how much you hurt your family. Then you can judge her on what she thinks and how. U go britney what ever it takes Make The Mall your higher power until you find him.

Elda on

Hey Britney hope you are feeling better!! love the dress!!

rachel b. on

Britney should not have the privilage to be looking at clothes online/spending money free time and the rehab sounds like a vacation and not a mental health clinic that she needs. She is not taking her rehab seriously and should not have full custody of her children.

Kristin on

She’s seems really focused on her rehab. Whatever, another starlette bites the dust. And we all thoguth Kevin was the bad guy.

cmelanieb on

I hope she is able to pull herself together and make a fantastic comeback. New clothes always makes me feel a bit better when I am in the dumps, maybe its the same for Brit.

alice on

Sorry Dawn, if my life is falling apart, the last thing I’m going to think of is buying a new outfit. I’m not that shallow. And I agree with Rachel, she shouldn’t have the privilege of shopping at rehab.

t on

rachel b. — are you, or anyone else on here for that matter, a licensed mental health provider? if not, don’t presume to know what britney or anyone else “should” and “should not” be doing while undergoing treatment. if you were already at your lowest point, what good would it do to take away any enjoyment or pleasure? should you be punished for admitting that you need help?

Lizzie on

OMG you people just don’t stop bashing her one way or another! So what if she’s shopping online in rehab? At least she is in there getting the help she needs to get her life back on track! Would you rather she be out of rehab, clubbing and partying and being self destructive like she was before she entered?

Brooke on

At least she is trying to get the help she needs. So what ..she bought 4 things of clothing. When I’m down in the dumps shopping always makes me feel better! What’s getting on the internet have to do with her not taking rehab seriously. I’m sure it’s a privelege in the rehab center anyways. If you’re doing good and progressing, maybe they allow you to do certain things!

ALBANIA on

Albania loves Britney…!!!She is the best !!!Hope u getting well
Lots of love *****

Kelly on

I’m glad just to see her getting some help. I also know that shopping for new outfits always boosts my self esteem. I’ve been as low as Britney before (as far as I can tell by her public breakdown and alcohol abuse) and I think whatever she needs to do to get better is fine. I support her and hope she can be happy and healthy again.

Nessa on

Rehab doesn’t mean a padded cell with no contact with the outside world people. If Britney wants to go online and shop so be it. You aren’t the one paying her CC bill. Get well soon Britney!

Dawn on

Alice she’s not in some Court ordered Jail Cell she’s in a rehab program that she walked in willingly and costs more them most of her fans make in a year. Rehab helps the addict learn to live with out booze or drugs. Last time i looked shopping is not on the 12 steps so i think it’s ok. If she passes 24/7 going on line shopping then trying to score drugs and drink.

Mary on

Whenever I’m feeling down, I head over to the mall or online for some retail therapy. I usually end up returning half of the stuff I bought, but in the end, it makes me feel better.

People should not be critical of how Britney is spending her time (and money) in rehab. We should all be glad that she is getting help, for herself and her sons.

Kris on

Atleast she’s not leaving rehab like Lindsay Lohan to shop.

Jennifer Sanchez on

Britney is making such a fool of herself she is just hopeless, i dont think rehab could even help her. But i love the dress

night on

Money does not exempt one from serious issues in life, and one should not pick on the vulnerable. SO, I will no longer make fun of Ms Spears, as she is dealing with some serious issues.
For those of you who think she not be alowed to shop, SHE IS NOT IN PRISON. She is in rehab… VOLUNTARILY! With that said….The first comment by Halyee has me spliting my sides with laughter…haylee….were you being sarcastic? I certainly hope so.

Maggie on

She is such a joke. It must be nice that when you do not want to deal with life you can dissappear into rehab and have the whole world (well almost, some people do have brains)support you. Life is messy…deal with it! She has totally abandoned those boys and made a fool of herself while she was doing it. Women have to deal with life on their own all of the time, working two jobs, single, and raising a family. I do not feel sorry for her. And about the latest rumor that she may be suffering from Postpardom depression…what a joke. Yes the illness is real and my heart goes out to those moms who suffer from it but Britney just did not want to grow up and she was use to being the center of attention and who would have thought that once you make the decision to have children, they would become your focus. I am so tired of hearing her in the news. My advice….go home, focus on your kids and not what you look like or what new 200$ dress you can buy, and learn to be a mother and a person that you can respect. If people would look at her history, she has been falling for some time, long before the children were born so who is to blame. It is tough being an adult!!!!

Angela on

Okay it seems to me like were not getting the whole story here first of all they are suppose to have joint custody but kevin is using those children as his meal ticket I sorry any man that asks for alimony as one of the first things when the marriage breaks up something is wrong and lets not forget that before he met britney he had two children already that he didn’t take care of. I know britney is young and everything but come on wake up and realize that kevin is using this to his advantage and britney luckily has the money to get out of it if she didn’t he wouldn’t have stayed around as long as he did

Harlow on

Lavender is my favorite color, so she did right by choosing the dress in this color, hehe. I like the halter top also. As for Britney, I hope she gets the help that she needs. I wish her all the best.
