Britney Spears Shops Online - From Rehab!

03/01/2007 at 05:00 PM ET

When Britney Spears is not stepping out from rehab, it seems like she’s in there shopping online. Over the weekend, Spears, who checked into Promises treatment center in Malibu last Thursday, went on an online shopping spree at Intuition, an L.A. fashion boutique and one of her favorite haunts (check out her previous visit here). Among the four large shopping bags of loot, PEOPLE has learned, was a pair of red Denim of Virtue skinny jeans, $170, a lavender halter dress by Tart ($200), a Rich and Skinny miniskirt, $145, and a Rory Beca silk tunic dress, $215. Since Spears couldn’t pick up the clothes herself, her mom, Lynne, did the honors and dropped the bags off during one of her visits. We guess it’s part of Brit’s retail therapy.

Britney should not have the privilage to be looking at clothes online/spending money free time and the rehab sounds like a vacation and not a mental health clinic that she needs. She is not taking her rehab seriously and should not have full custody of her children.

She’s seems really focused on her rehab. Whatever, another starlette bites the dust. And we all thoguth Kevin was the bad guy.

I hope she is able to pull herself together and make a fantastic comeback. New clothes always makes me feel a bit better when I am in the dumps, maybe its the same for Brit.

Sorry Dawn, if my life is falling apart, the last thing I’m going to think of is buying a new outfit. I’m not that shallow. And I agree with Rachel, she shouldn’t have the privilege of shopping at rehab.

rachel b. — are you, or anyone else on here for that matter, a licensed mental health provider? if not, don’t presume to know what britney or anyone else “should” and “should not” be doing while undergoing treatment. if you were already at your lowest point, what good would it do to take away any enjoyment or pleasure? should you be punished for admitting that you need help?

OMG you people just don’t stop bashing her one way or another! So what if she’s shopping online in rehab? At least she is in there getting the help she needs to get her life back on track! Would you rather she be out of rehab, clubbing and partying and being self destructive like she was before she entered?

At least she is trying to get the help she needs. So what ..she bought 4 things of clothing. When I’m down in the dumps shopping always makes me feel better! What’s getting on the internet have to do with her not taking rehab seriously. I’m sure it’s a privelege in the rehab center anyways. If you’re doing good and progressing, maybe they allow you to do certain things!

I’m glad just to see her getting some help. I also know that shopping for new outfits always boosts my self esteem. I’ve been as low as Britney before (as far as I can tell by her public breakdown and alcohol abuse) and I think whatever she needs to do to get better is fine. I support her and hope she can be happy and healthy again.
