Victoria Beckham Goes Blonde! Love It or Hate It?

Skinny jeans? Check. Stiletto heels? Check. Oversize sunglasses? Check. Brunette hair? Gone! What looked like a typically stylish day for Posh was actually the debut of a whole new hairdo. Her brown bob from the past several months, including Sunday night Oscar parties, was given the boot. Her hair is now streaked with light blond highlights and razored into an 80’s-style asymmetrical do. Is this a new look in preparation for her rumored reality show, or is going blonde part of her master plan for fitting into L.A.? We dig the new do on Victoria. I liked the brunette hair better. I think it’s cool to just be who you are instead of what you think the world wants you to be. Dark hair is beautiful too. She looks washed out with the lighter hair. Oh well, she gets to go home to Becks……enough said.

I think we should be focusing on the fact that she doesn’t eat rather than her hair. What kind of rolemodel is she for young women today? And who is raising her kids anyway? As strong women of the 21st Century we should stop emulating these self-obsessed, narcissistic divas. What was the women’s movement for anyway? – So that women can denigrate themselves instead of having men do it for us? Wake up ladies!

I’m not a “fan” or hers (I can’t comment on her as a person since I obviously don’t know her), and I’m certainly not a fan of the overly thin look, but I can’t dislike this color on her as much as I may try. I adore darker hair in the sea of blonds, but it really does look good on her. As for the cut, I haven’t seen enough of it to have an opinion.

I followed the link to the picture of her smiling and she almost looks, dare I say, cute. Still very skinny, but she looked happy, and that is attractive in it’s self.
