FYI: if you know anything at all about movie props you know that movie memorabilia fans want the props and costumes preserved EXACTLY as they were last worn and used in the movie -- this is what makes them authentic. Often the "stains" are prop blood or wine spill that was part of the action in the movie. How embarrassing it would be to find that an authentic movie costume was cleaned of the proof that it was screen-used! Also, the plastic ensures that no mold, bacteria, or humidity can damage the cloth -- that is the proper way to preserve them, exactly so they do NOT get moldy or musty.
