New Evening Bag Essential: Light-Up Lip Gloss

02/20/2007 at 11:00 AM ET

For those of us who don’t carry compacts and flash lights in our evening bags, reapplying lipgloss in dimly lit restaurants or bars can be a real hassle. Enter Go Light on My Lips, $19, which is one of those products that is so genius you can’t believe no one has thought of it before! Click the button on the top of the cap, and your lipgloss turns into it’s own flashlight that allows you to see into the mirror on the side of the tube. And just to make sure that none of your friends make off with your tube, get it personalized with a crystal monogram, $38. And perfect for award show attendees with limited clutch space, there are also personalized Swarovski crystal encrusted tubes for $150 — Oprah already has one!

i cant imagine paying that much for lipgloss, but it is cool!

$19 is actually very reasonable for a great lipgloss that lights up! the regular high end glosses cost even more than that and they don’t have any fancy bells or whistles.

Wouldn’t it be less expensive to just buy regular ol’ lip gloss and then go to the ladies room and re-apple there? Or better yet, shouldn’t ladies just buy lip gloss that doesn’t need to re-applied??? This product is just another way to get money out of people.

A bit expensive but ideal for club-goers

First off forget the packaging, is the lipgloss any good? I don’t care if it lights up, starts my car, and does backflips, I just care about if it’s cute, quality made, etc. I sure hate to be paying 37 dollars for packaging with a 99 cent lipgloss inside. This is a bit silly!

different but awesome if your out late and need a light to put on your lip-gloss at a club or in the car.

I love this lipgloss. I purchased it and have used it. It wears wonderful and is well worth the money. Several of my friends tried it and they are going to purchase it. The lite and mirror are fantastic.
