Drew Barrymore’s New Ad Campaign

We love the edgy style of Drew Barrymore and salute her womanly curves, as it seems, does British designer, Giles Deacon who chose the actress to front his ‘Gold by Giles’ collection for British high street chain, New Look (think H&M or Forever 21). The designer bagged the A-lister when a stylist pal of his bumped into the actress in a hotel lift and the deal was done. The 35 piece collection includes jeans, oversized sunglasses, vivid print tunics and this stunning silk beaded dress, which is a steal at just £45 ($88). “Despite her Hollywood associations, she is ballsy and has a playful ‘child-woman’ appeal,” says Deacon. Adds a New Look representative: “She always looks like she’s having a good time.” We couldn’t agree more. The line launches in Europe on March 13 but sadly for us, the e-commerce won’t be up until May.

Thinking of Pulling a Britney? Donate your hair!

Are you looking to embrace your inner Britney Spears — and shave your head? Instead of selling your hair (the salon where Britney went razor-happy is auctioning off her tresses), what about donating your ‘do? Britney’s ex Kevin Federline reportedly donated his hair to Locks of Love when he went from a shoulder-length coif to a buzz cut. That charity provides free hairpieces and wigs to children who have lost their hair due to illness. It’s pretty easy to do — take it from someone who knows. Three weeks ago, I made my own donation. I just filled out a form online and mailed in my cut-off hair (which took only a year and a half to grow — the charity needs a minimum of 10 inches). Best of all, you don’t need to go for a full-on chrome dome like Britney; a nice short bob will do. — Cara Shultz

Selma Blair Chats About Heels and Her New Bleached Do

Hollywood is full of demanding divas, but Selma Blair isn’t one of them. The actress cheerfully walked from pal Marc Jacobs show to his after party five blocks away -– in her four-inch YSL heels. “They’re so comfortable,” she told PEOPLE, walking faster than others around her in flats. Her gold dress that she wore to the show was vintage, but “my bag is Marc Jacobs – oh, and my coat!” — as was the striped jersey dress she changed into for the after party. Blair was chatty and cheerful, running her hand through her newly shorn, newly bleached hair and saying ruefully, “I know I’m going to get killed for this look.” Why did she do it? “I had my hair cut for a photo shoot and I just thought it would be fun to dye it, you know?” she said, shrugging. “So I just did it.”

What’s Cate Blanchett’s Red Carpet Personality?

Nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Notes on a Scandal, Cate Blanchett is the Chameleon of this year’s award season.

Signature Look: Blanchett can pull off a variety of styles, from cutting edge to classic. But two things remain constant: impeccable fit and unexpected detail.

Favorite Designers: Blanchett relies on red carpet big guns like Valentino and Dior but sprinkles in edgy designers such as Rodarte and Alexander McQueen. Unique shoes from Roger Vivier and Armani Prive (diamond platforms!) complete her looks.

What She Will Wear: Instead of participating in the Oscars dress derby, the star usually works exclusively with one designer, and this year the word is it’s Armani Prive.
