What's Up With Eva Green's Hair?

02/16/2007 at 11:00 AM ET

Whether or not she’s your favorite Bond girl, Eva Green is undeniably beautiful as Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale. So we are especially confused as to why she would take her lovely long locks and turn them into this veritable nest of hair at the BAFTA awards in London. And are those black streaks over her natural brown color? We’ve seen big hair gone bad before, but this is just a little too Bride of Frankenstein for us. Tell us: What do you think of Eva’s hairdo?

Eva looks gorgeous and dramatic. Much better than the perma-tanned bleached blonde clones normally on display. She takes risks but has the beauty and French sophistication to carry it off. It’s a shame she is criticised for this.

I think it looks rather nice….it seems to suit her!

nice dress very nice!

I have to disagree. She looks as though she drank someone’s champagne stash before getting dressed for the night. One can only imagine what insanity drove her to ruin the effect of a beautiful face and a beautiful dress with that monstrous hairstyle.

She looks straight out of the film Beetlejuice.

Wow who does Eve Green think she is Imogene Heap?

I understand her wanting to show of the beautiful neck of the dress, but there are so many other (more flattering) ways to do so. She is so beautiful, but the hair makes her look a little scary and crazed.

Love the dress, the make-up is fantastic. But the hair?
She seriously looks like the bride of Frankenstien!
I’m just being honest, for a horror movie great, but for real life I don’t think so.

The dress is looks beautiful, her makeup looks nice to. No to the hair….

hm…she looks stunning until you get to the hair. The hair is u*g*l*a*y….

Eva Green is what you call having a bad hair day!

Elda on

Her hair looks like the 80’s punk rock style.

With eyes like those, who cares about the hair? That is in my opinion, one of the most beatiful women in the world. Move over Elizabeth Taylor, there’s a new girl in town!

Nighthag on

That was done in the 80’s and it should stay there. Too wild for me.

Tones of hairspray, gel or glue, possibly!

Wow, interesting. Love the dress and she has beautiful eyes. The whole look is stunning, something different.

You * american people * like “brushing”. We * french women * like messing up our hair ;-)
So I like her hair but I don’t like her dress

I would need to see a pic from another angle and against a neutral background. But I agree with the majority, she is beautiful, great dress and makeup.

I think it looks hideous! What was she thinking?!?!? And she should wash her hair because it looks really greasy and dirty! EWW!

She just shows that you don’t have to look like everyone else on the red carpet to be beautiful. I really like this whole look. She’s gorgeous.

Sera on

This is not the hair of the french women, more pretty and chic and not so large and everywhere. This is bad!

Actually, I love it. She’s a beautiful girl, and she can really pull it off. Gorgeous!

I watched the BAFTA Awards, and I saw Eva accept her award. I actually liked her dress somewhat, and her make-up was beautiful. Her eyes are beautiful. The only thing that I didn’t like was her hair. It was hideous looking. She’s got beautiful hair, she should have done something different with her hair. She’s a gorgeous actress none the less.

Ick- too frizzy. The big hair could have looked good if done a little differently.

Jen on

I will say the hair is not the best, but she is still beautiful!

I think I’m the one that can see i dont find her all that pretty and her hair looks like somthing died in it!

Kari J. on

Eva is very beautiful, much more naturally beautiful than many of the other movie stars, but even she can’t pull that off totally.

los on

I like this hairstyle because i think she’s making a statement. She knows she’s stunning and can pull anything off and this hairstyle would not look great on everyone, but it shows that you can be beautiful and go against the grain i.e blond, classically boring and tanned – it shows female strength for once by not following everyone else. Well done Eva!

Sam on

i think she looks wicked… i love big back-brushed hair, and she looks almost vampirish… gorgeous

Rosie on

Her ‘natural brown’ is actually naturally blonde!!
You’d never guess though.

Medyumca on

thanks you very mach

joy on

anyway, i love her.
