Marc Jacobs & Pals Conquer London Fashion Week

The much anticipated Marc By Marc Jacobs Fall 2007 show finally kicked off this evening at Claridge’s hotel in London and the New York designer certainly added some A-list eye candy to the closing show of the week. In town to open his new Mayfair store, the designer had a front row bursting with celeb pals including Selma Blair, Naomi Campbell and Sofia Coppola who all applauded his geek-chic collection, “It was like a boarding school fiesta!” Blair told PEOPLE after the show. “It was cuddly and sexy and I loved all the cream tights,” she said, herself in tiny, ruffled gold strapless dress. Coppola, the designer’s “muse” kept her comments short and sweet, “The clothes were cute and it’s fun to be in the ballroom at Claridge’s.” We’re sure more fun was to be had at the exclusive after party held at the store straight afterwards – watch this space!

Beauty Buff Jessica Alba’s Favorite Products

This gorgeous, glowing star gave PEOPLE’s Stylewatch a peek at the skincare products that she’s loving right now. And who wouldn’t want a hint on how to look that good? For her eyes, she loves Wexler Under-Eye Brightening Cream, $29, and Ole Henriksen Purifying Eye Makeup Remover, $25, which she picks up when she visits his legendary L.A. Spa. She purifies her pores with Lush’s Fresh Masks, $9-$10, that she loves so much she had them sent to the set of Good Luck, Chuck to share with the rest of the cast. If she does get the rare breakout, she knocks it out with Mario Badescu’s Enzyme Cleansing Gel, $12, and Drying Lotion, $17. She exfoliates with Sally Hershberger’s Face Place Face Refinisher, $38, which she says she “uses every day.” She tells us that “a great night cream” is Eau Thermale Avene Retrinal 0.05 Cream, $47. And her makeup musts are Christian Dior Diorshow Mascara in Black, $23 (“The best mascara I’ve used. It’s lengthening and volumizing.”) and Cle de Peau Beaute Correcteur Visage, $68, which “hydrates while it conceals.” Sign us up!

Ken Paves on Jessica Simpson’s New Brunette Color

If you’ve been wondering what prompted ultimate blonde Jessica Simpson to go dark, you’re not alone. Jessica’s hair stylist and BFF Ken Paves gave PEOPLE the scoop behind her bold new look. After a day spent lounging by the pool together, the two came inside and started playing with extensions from their HairDo line. Jessica asked, “‘What do you have in there that’s red? I clipped it on and she said, ‘I want to leave this on! I want to wear it out,’” which she did to great effect (the front part of her hair was sprayed with temporary color to match the extensions). Jessica loved the change so much that the next morning, she asked Ken to make it permanent, saying she “felt more like herself.” As for the rumors that Jessica went dark for new boyfriend John Mayer’s benefit, Ken scoffs at the idea. “It just happened. She had no intention of coloring her hair. This was done on a whim — two friends horsing around and playing dress up. A woman doesn’t have to be doing it for somebody. Sometimes it just happens.”

What’s Up With Eva Green’s Hair?

Whether or not she’s your favorite Bond girl, Eva Green is undeniably beautiful as Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale. So we are especially confused as to why she would take her lovely long locks and turn them into this veritable nest of hair at the BAFTA awards in London. And are those black streaks over her natural brown color? We’ve seen big hair gone bad before, but this is just a little too Bride of Frankenstein for us. Tell us: What do you think of Eva’s hairdo?

What’s in Ashley Tisdale’s Shopping Bag?

What does a 21-year-old TV star with a brand new album shop for in New York City? Not what you’d think. PEOPLE tagged along with High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale on her CD release day, Feb. 6, as she perused the racks at Scoop NYC. After all, the girl’s a born shopper — she was discovered in a mall at age 3. But in a store full of party-perfect pieces, all she wants are sweats. What’s more, “I like ‘em baggy,” she says. (Hey, even pop stars like to be comfy!) While Ashley tried on Free City hoodies and sweatpants at a breakneck pace, Ashley’s mom, Lisa Tisdale, pointed out that her daughter’s already got “hundreds of sweats.” “Mom, they’re Free City,” Ashley explains of the Ron Herman vintage line. “They’re my favorite!” The eventual haul: sweatpants in white, black and green; sweatshirts in yellow and white. Though Ashley wanted to do the rest of the day’s promotional appearances in her new loungy duds (really, who wouldn’t?) she stopped into Arden B and picked up a cute, versatile babydoll top instead.

To get Ashley’s purchases: call Scoop NYC at 212-633-6535 for Free City sweats, $115-148 each and call Arden B 1-800-753-7325 for her baby doll top, $78.
