Last Minute Valentine’s Shopping? Get a Red Hot Phone

Can’t always be with your sweetheart? Make like lovebirds Eva Longoria and Tony Parker, Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling and David and Courteney Cox Arquette who can whisper sweet nothings to each other while they are apart on their sleek, new MOTOKRZR cell phones. Motorola recently gifted each couple a pair of matching red phones which were delivered packaged in a Valentine’s Day heart box adorned with barbed wire. Those looking to make a love connection of their own can find the MOTOKRZR in Fire at Verizon Wireless for $199/each.

oh come on how stupid is that!

- BC on

That’s completely pathetic. And Razrs aren’t even good looking.

- Rara on

How cute getting your girlfriend of 4 years a red cell phone ( NOT). Electronics for women on X Mas okay, but on Valentine’s day come on, just because it’s in a heart shaped box doesn’t mean it’s from the heart. Oh and it’s a red razor and they don’t even donate to Africa blah!

I’m so sick of hearing or seeing all of the free stuff that the stars get. You mean to tell me they can’t afford to buy these things themselves? The reason why all of the designers outfits or products is so expensive for us average people is b/c we are covering the cost of all the free stuff the stars get. Don’t buy into it.

- Nighthag on

Hey, I agree with you on that. Time for the free stuff to the stars — to stop! I’m tired of them getting free stuff they could buy themselves, when the fans — the average working public — are supposed to admire it and buy it because stars have it. Same goes for hospitalizations for stars with minor injuries or illnesses… face it, most people wouldn’t be admitted for something like that, not to mention the expenses we’d face.

I wonder how fast companies could get attention if they did giveaways to the people who would most appreciate a beautiful giveaway. The publicity would be unbelievable.

not very cool for v-day. i agree about the celebrity free stuff to- they have more money than most of us and they get the free stuff!

BLEH! I am so sick of the RZR! When will that phone finally disappear!!!

I agree with everyone’s comments about giving celebrities free stuff. They can afford to buy this expensive crap themselves, so they should pay for it.

- KD on

It certainly doesn’t seem fair that celebrities with loads of money get free things all the time. However, it works for the companies that give out the free stuff. Celebrities are photographed all the time. Verizon most likely gave away the phones in hopes that the celebrities will be photographed using the phone. Then people will see those pictures, and some of them will want to buy the phone. It’s pretty smart, I think.

First, ladies, those are the krzr – not the same thing as the razr. I think it’s a cute idea and I’d much rather receive a nice phone that I can actually use for Valentine’s Day instead of a getting a bunch of expensive flowers that will go into the garbage in a few days.
Companies gift celebrities with products because that helps them sell at exponentially higher rates – even if people don’t want to admit it. The companies aren’t giving the items out of the goodness of their hearts; instead, they’re gifting for the practically free advertising. With that in mind, I don’t begrudge the celebrities.

Carly, makes the most sense, the companies have their own agenda.

“And Razrs aren’t even good looking.”

Interesting, i didn’t know phones had human-like qualities.

“How cute getting your girlfriend of 4 years a red cell phone ( NOT).”

Who ever said, Ryan or Tony bought it, the company give it too them.
