How Penelope Gets Glam: Red Carpet Tips From Her Stylists

If you’ve ever looked at Penelope Cruz, Jessica Biel or Demi Moore on the red carpet and wondered how do they always look so polished, look no further than their stylists Estee Stanley and Christina Erlich. Just in time for award show season, here are their top three tips on looking good in front of the cameras.

1. Make sure your, um, assets are covered because “once those flashes start going, everything is see through,” says Stanley. The stylists have used everything from panty hose to cotton balls to keep things covered up.

2. Even the slimmest actress appreciates extra support. “We’ve had people with the best bodies and they still want to feel smoothed out on their legs and stomach,” says Stanley, who recommends their Premiere Line from Frederick’s of Hollywood, which features boy shorts, silicone covers (see point #1) and other items designed to prevent wardrobe malfunctions.

3. Always double check your look in the mirror before you go. “If you’re going to put a shaper on,” says Erlich, “Sit down and make sure nothing’s peeking out of your skirt.”

I know you will all send me hate blogs but I don’t think that dress is very flattering.

This dress hangs on Penelope Cruz. The dress is cute in itself, but not the right fit here.

Reem

I totally agree with you, I don’t like it much.

britney, are you taking notes? STYLIST. YOU NEED ONE. maybe let one of the nannies go and hire somebody? you’d be killing two birds w/one stone that way: actually being a mother and not looking so atrocious when you go out in public.

lizz

lovely lady but i agree the dress doesn’t fit right and her arms/shoulders look weird in this photo

Elda

The dress is ok but she is still a knock out!

Nicole

Marissa!!!!!
