Give Your Guy Some Cary Grant Style

Here’s a clever — and subtle — way to upgrade your guy’s style this Valentine’s Day. Give him a copy of Cary Grant: A Celebration of Style, by Richard Torregrosa, available at amazon.com for $24. This new book looks at the movie icon’s fashion and cultural influences, with a forward by Giorgio Armani and and an afterward by Michael Kors. After a few pages your guy will be itching to try this new confident and elegant look out with you. Better keep your LBD handy, just in case!

Can I just take Cary instead! My dad is a fan of his movies and I’ve seen many of them. Opeeration Peticoat is my fav. (No I’m not really old. I just have folks that had me older in their life.) He really was handsome for his time!

I don’t think showing my husband this book would change his fashion sense because he has none and isn’t interested in having any … I’ve tried for 25 years. I’d love to see these pictures though, I’m sure they’re beautiful. He was a handsome, classy man.

I wish more men had this style..the hair, the clothes..a very classy handsome look,Gary Grant had it as well as Clark Gable and alot of the Golden Era Hollywood actors, those men back then knew how to dress. I absolutely love this look on men,the only actor today that even comes close to this style of dressing along with the hair is George Clooney.

cary grant was a great hollywood star and did have that suave and slick appeal to him.

I do think that Cary is a very handsome man for his time. But, if I were to give this mag to my hubby, he’d run and hide. Everytime we have a family get together with my side, all they talk about is movies, old stars and new stars. My dad’s fav line is how he hasn’t seen that old actor in so long and my bro always comes back with that’s b/c he’s dead pop! Then they argrue over who was the better actor and it goes on and on like that. I’m used to but it drives my hubby crazy. So that wouldn’t be a practical gift for him. It would just stir up scarey memories of my family get together! I’d be happy with it myself. I’ve always had a thing for older handsome men!!!

Kelty

He reminds me of George Clooney. Maybe George is the Cary Grant of our time?

A revealing and amusing book about Cary Grant is “Evenings with Cary Grant,” foreword by Barbara and Jennifer Grant. The book is in Grant’s own words and includes exclusive interviews with co-stars and friends such as Audrey Hepburn, Katharine Hepburn, Gregory Peck, James Stewart, Elizabeth Taylor, Louis Jourdan, Burt Reynolds, Quincy Jones, Deborah Kerr, Robert Wagner, Prince Rainier of Monaco (and 150 more). You’ll want to see all his movies after reading this charming book.
