Get Charitable this Valentine's Day

02/08/2007 at 10:30 AM ET

Why not give your loved ones a “Believe” bracelet for Valentine’s Day? Not only will its smiles be contagious, but they’ll also be touched to know that all profits will benefit Charley’s Fund, a non-profit organization which raises money to help find a treatment or cure for DMD (Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy), a heartbreaking illness with a 100% fatality rate. Julianna Margulies sports one on her wrist to show her support. Started by Charley’s parents after learning their son was diagnosed with the disease, the organization has raised nearly $2.5 million thus far. To purchase or to learn more go to Charleysfund.org.

I hope they find a cure. What an awful thing for this child and his parents. It is truly sad.

It breaks my heart when i see young children with a bad illness like that, they are so young and don’t understand what is happening to themselves. Great purchase for a great cause!!

I have no problem if someone wants to donate to a good cause or whatever I think its great but to wear it like fashion is just ugly this is ugly and if it was cute still no.
