The Ultimate Bling Pen: A $10,000 Sharpie

02/06/2007 at 11:30 AM ET

A Celebrity Edition Sharpie, which features 66 Hearts on Fire diamonds and 1,300 Swarovski crystals, is being auctioned off on ebay.com today. Opening bid? $3,500! Which isn’t so bad compared to its $10,000 value. So who needs a pen with so much bling? We think anyone who gets asked for her autograph a lot would qualify. It’s part of Sharpie’s Autograph for Action campaign, which is gathering one million autographs to exchange for one million dollars. The money will be used for charities, communities organizations and education. At the Sharpie Super Bowl Style Villa, Scarlett Johansson, Gabrielle Union, Nick Cannon, Brooke and Nick Hogan, Ryan Cabrera, CariDee English and more turned out to give their support and leave their John Hancocks. The Sharpie winner will also land a leather chair autographed by all the Super Bowl stars (combined value is over $12,000!). Click over to ebay.com/sharpie to bid and learn more.

Love that its for charity, but there is no way in hell I would ever spend $10,000 on a sharpie.

I think someone has defenitely lost it…10 grand for a SHARPIE?? I guess its good they are coming up with ways to help the less fortunate but, it seems that one doesn’t have to show how wealthy they are by buying ridiculous stuff to donate to charity.

I dont even know what a sharpie is a pen I guess dont need it

I think it would have been better if they would have auctioned something else off. I mean a sharpie is great, but you can’t even write with a sharpie if it has all those bumps everywhere from the crystals.

Anything for charity.
I say if there are people who have $10,000 to spend on a pen, great, they should buy it. Anyone who would spend that kind on money on a sharpie shouldn’t have that kind of money in the first place. I’m all for getting wealthy people to give their money to charity. If it takes a shiny sparkly object to get some brainless rich person to cough up the cash for a good cause then so be it. Lets keep this going; rulers, compacts, lipsticks, toilet seats …

‘oooh sparkle, who wants the sparkly thing, who wants it?’, it’s like distracting a cat with a shiny ball.
This just screams Paris Hilton

“So who needs a pen with so much bling? We think anyone who gets asked for her autograph a lot would qualify.” (People writes above)
hmmm I think this should be the official divorce papers signing pen for Hollywood. It’s all about money.
Bling bling, time for divorcing!

it is a shiny Sharpie pen but too much and good for charity events and autographs by the rich and the famous.
