Buh-Bye Black: It’s All About Red Nails Like Ashlee’s

It looks like trend-setting celeb fingertips are moving on. Stars from Ashlee Simpson to Hilary Duff to Nicole Richie are trading their Goth-inspired black nail polish for classic candy-apple red. Still a bold statement, but a lot easier to swallow for most of us. And it only gets lighter from here — we hear that white polish is making a big comeback too, just in time for the mod trend for spring. Tell us: Will you wear red? Are you ready to give up black polish?

Ashley does look a lot better then she used to look like. To me, she looks better then her sister. But as for the red nails, it looks better if the nails are longer. But each to their own. I can’t wear polish anyways. But if I could, I’d wear a nice pink.

I have never been a fan of red nail polish, but worn on short nails, as Ashlee has done, it does look nice. It definetly looks much better than black nail polish, which just makes you look like you’re trying too hard.

On another note, Ashlee looks amazing, and more importantly HAPPY!!!

I’ve been sporting the black nail polish before the celebs and I’m still sticking to it. It looks so classy (when not chipped of course). If I want to wear red, I opt for darker wine tones.

BLACK NAIL POLISH WAS SO 80′S AND 90′S WHEN THESE GIRLS WERE BABIES.

RED IS A CLASSY COLOR AND IT LOOKS A LOT BETTER THAN THE BLACK.
